Fred never installed the glass and he kept giving me excuses over the phone (supplier couldn't find my order, "I'll be up to install it next week," etc, etc). Finally, it was time to close on the house deal (this was AT LEAST 2 months after I'd ordered the glass) and the work was still not done. I ended up paying $500 out of my own pocket to satisfy the buyers.
Nobody from Aurora Windows has attempted to contact me in 3 months, and for the past couple of months all of my voice messages and emails have gone unanswered. I believe Fred is no longer in business. I will be taking him to small claims court for whatever it's worth.
Side note: Ironically, I had a large window replaced by this company a couple years ago and they did excellent work and were the cheapest in town.

He came out and gave me an estimate the same day I called, and completed the work the next day.
The casement window (that I measured and purchased) was a little bit too wide for the rough opening and he had to cut siding to install the window. He did not increase the agreed upon price, although he probably could have.
The quality is very good - it makes the rest of the windows and trim in my home look bad in comparison. He is also a very nice man, my girlfriend (who was home during the work) enjoyed the time he was in our home.

Wayne offered practical advice regarding the various window treatment options which corresponded with our preferences. He had some really solid advice on color and fabric options which we followed. We are delighted with the quality of the work and the amazingly effective insulation qualities of the honeycomb shades which were really evident yesterday afternoon as we watched Sunday evening football. Lowering the shades not only permitted easy viewing but immediately lowered the room temperature.

I actually just needed window panes replaced that had failed with moisture between panes. Anderson tried to sell me all new windows and frames. Turned out my windows were under warranty! High pressure sales tactics, will never use them
Sunshine Window Cleaning (907-310-2326) did a great job for me and would recommend them. Lora and Ed Myers were professional and trustworthy. Lora clean the windows inside while Ed cleaned the outside windows.
Once the windows were delivered the work went quickly and efficiently. Dave even notice a couple of repairs that he just took care of such as siding under the deck that had been improperly caulked and front door that needed adjustment. I received several quotes for the work and Dave provided...
The builders of our house installed the cheapest windows on the market. Over times some of the sliders broke, seals broke, and we decided it was time for an upgrade. We had half our windows done one year, and the other half the next. Neighbor's Windows and Doors had amazing customer service....
I used an Angie's List Big Deal Discount offer for the inside and outside cleaning of all my windows. Before starting, my windows were counted, and some were counted as larger picture windows so my total window count came to 35. This was fair, the Big Deal offer stated that some windows may...

Custom window treatments provide many benefits over prefabricated treatments. Consider the following advantages of installing one-of-a-kind window treatments:
They block more light when they’re closed.
They provide a significant increase in home energy efficiency.
They can better protect your furniture and floors from UV damage.
They can help make your living space temperature more comfortable and even.
They improve your curb appeal.
They tend to last longer than prefabricated treatments.
They add more to your home’s value.
In most cases, custom window treatments are well worth the investment. Custom window treatments not only elevate your curb appeal and make your home more visually pleasing inside, but they also often do a better job of boosting your home’s energy efficiency than non-custom treatments, and they usually last longer. Plus, specialty window treatments can increase your home value if maintained well, so your investment is more worthwhile in the long run in most cases, too.
Custom window treatments cost around $900 per window, and prices usually fall between $150 and $4,800. Your total will depend on many factors, including the type of window treatment, the amount and size of the windows, your home’s location, and the labor cost. Blinds and shutters tend to be the most affordable custom window treatments at $600 to $2,700, and the most expensive options are valances, drapes, curtains, and estate shutters, costing up to $3,000.
In most cases, it’s impossible to install your own custom window treatments because the companies that manufacture them will only allow professionals to pick them up and install them. You can buy semi-custom window treatments to cut to fit your windows, but they don’t offer the same benefits as true custom treatments. Additionally, even if you find a custom window treatment manufacturer that will sell directly to you, it’s better to have a window professional install them for a better appearance and to maintain your home warranty coverage.
In most cases, custom blinds increase your home value for many reasons. First, custom window coverings make your living area and the exterior of your home more appealing, which tends to help buyers develop a positive opinion about your property. Savvy buyers will also know that custom treatments improve energy efficiency and privacy and will be willing to pay more for those perks. The average return on investment for custom window treatments is around 75%.
