"Super nice guy and did excellent work. The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars all around is because the final bill was double the estimate. I wish I'd been given a warning."

"We replaced one ceiling light fixture, installed 6 new ceiling fixtures including 5 recessed fixtures and installed under-cabinet lighting. The electrical work was well done, timely and affordable. The work did involve repair to an existing drywall ceiling, which was not done with the same level of expertise as the electrical repair. The entire project took a bit longer than anticipated. The work was fairly priced. Definitely worth the money. Had they done a better job on the ceiling repair, I would have given them a better rating. I would use them again for electrical work but would probably use someone else for drywall repair."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Shipping container pools are prone to rust and corrosion over time, especially if you install a saltwater system. Though the interior of your pool should be lined, the outside is at risk. Luckily there are a few things you can do.

Elevate your pool or place it on a foundation to prevent moisture buildup along the bottom of the container. Apply a rust inhibitor or paint to protect the outside of your pool, and maintain the proper chlorine levels to reduce the rate of corrosion. Regularly inspect your pool for signs of corrosion, and take action when necessary.

You should add one 3-inch chlorine tablet for every 5,000 gallons of water in your pool. If you have a smaller pool, it’s better to use 1-inch chlorine tablets so you don’t accidentally add too much chlorine. Alternatively, you can add two to three ounces of powdered chlorine or half a gallon of liquid chlorine for every 5,000 gallons of water.

Generally, you do not need to drain your pool to convert it to a saltwater system. The main exception is if you have used an antibacterial agent containing polyhexamethylene biguanide to sanitize your pool, as these sanitation products do not mix well with saltwater systems. If this is the case, you will need to start fresh. You can either drain the pool or treat the existing water with a high dose of chlorine to remove the antibacterial agent. If you choose the chlorine treatment, wait several days to allow the chlorine to work before proceeding with the conversion. If you are unsure whether this applies to your pool, consult a pool technician.

It’s a good idea to call in a pro to fill in your pool, because there are many potential hazards to doing it yourself. Unless you’re careful, you can damage your septic tank, plumbing pipes, and sprinkler lines. It’s also possible to damage your sewer connections, utility lines, driveway, landscaping, and sidewalk.

The type of sand you need for your sand filter depends on the manufacturer’s instructions, but you’ll need to use sand specifically for pool filters. Silica sand is a wallet-friendly, common choice that’s relatively easy to replace. You’ll choose between various grades of sand and different-sized sand grains.
