We did not want to have to find the different sub-contractors needed to accomplish the extensive renovation. Larsen’s did it ALL. John Martin, the general manager for our project, was easy to work with…helpful, knowledgeable and considerate of our wants and needs. He was there EVERY step of the way for us…this being an extremely large outdoor renovation. Although the project took a couple weeks longer than anticipated…all phases of the remodel followed each other in a smooth orderly fashion. The workers associated with each phase performed their jobs very well, efficiently and professionally. Any concerns or questions we had throughout the project were addressed immediately, professionally and to our expectations and satisfaction. There were a few pools installed on our street from various companies, and those neighbors faced their fair share of problems. I found the reputation of Larsen’s Pools to be at the top, and chose them to handle such a big investment for us. They installed an enclosed 30x15 saltwater pool with a surrounding paver deck. We honestly could not be happier with the result. The company was extremely attentive at every phase of the process. We had a warm discussion with the owner, Eric Larsen, who gauged our needs and set the expectations of how the process would go. Our designer, Adam was amazing in helping to bring our vision to life on the 3D renderings, matching it to our imagination in a tangible way that we could make intelligent design choices on. He seemed to have a great enthusiasm for what he did, and it made the process enjoyable. Brooks, our general contractor, was very professional and organized throughout the entire building process. It was fun watching our neighbors (the ones who watched the other pools built earlier in the year) respond with awe in how fast the build progressed. Watching all come together, I knew wholeheartedly that we chose the right company. Any delays or issues were quite minor, and always handled satisfactorily. Brooks certainly knew how to keep everything moving according to his schedule and he pulled it off nearly flawless. The end result is beyond what we even envisioned. - Larsen's Pool & Spa LLCWe did a lot of research and interviewed a lot of companies. We chose Larsen's Pool and Spa because we wanted a modern custom pool and not a cookie-cutter design. We had special considerations due to elevation and from conception to installation the Larsen team knew exactly what to do. They were able to take our ideas and make it a reality. We met with a Larsen principle and construction leads to walk the property and I worked closely with a designer. Material selection was easy with the guidance of the project lead. My project lead, Reed called me at the end of every week to update me on the progress and to discuss the next weeks plan. Reed was very meticulous in overseeing the worker's progress. We had the usual delays expected during this pandemic, but their communication was appreciated. With so many stories of companies overextending themselves to the point that they were unable to finish pools they had started, the discovery/research part of selecting a company was scary. Their reputation speaks for itself, and they put us at ease. We can't say enough about the value for money spent. The Larsen Pool start up crew made weekly visits for one month after pool completion to check the chemicals and to make sure we understood how to maintain the pool and equipment. They kept their word, they did the most professional job, and my family is so happy with the outcome. I just wish all contractors were this great. - Larsen's Pool & Spa LLCThis was our first experience building a pool and we did lots of research and spoke with a couple of companies before selecting Larsen's Pool and Spa. We met with the designer (Adam) and he not only listened to what we wanted, but took the design we had in our minds and enhanced it. They pulled the sod in our backyard on 6/23 and on 8/21 the pool was ready to be filled. Keep in mind, this is the heavy rainy season in Florida so we had to contend with the weather and the challenges nature posed (cave in of the hole, difficult soil to work through (clay), etc.) Every one of the subs was professional, and patient with the number of questions we posed throughout the process. Dave and Jeremy, were the construction coordinators and both were responsive whether we called or texted in the evenings or on weekends. They knew how important our dogs are to us, so they ensure they did not take down the current portion of the screened enclosure until it was absolutely necessary to do so, so the dogs could have that area to roam while their pool was being built. They suggested and added a "doggie step" in the step area (half a step), which I'm happy to report, our dogs use just about every time they get out of the pool. We even had a situation where we had to change something on the pavers and Adam was able to meet with us on the Sunday of the 4th of July weekend so we could see the other options for pavers to make the needed change (original pavers were no longer available). They suggested the nebula lighting and we thought it was a great idea since our pool faces a conservation area, and it looks amazing! The folks are lighting aluminum did a great job at extending our screened area as it was a bit of a challenge considering the current structure in place and columns throughout. There were over 30 folks overall that in one way or another were involved in this project and every one of them was polite, and a pleasure to work with during the process. Once the pool was complete, Justin came over to "start up" the pool and came back a few more times to ensure all was working as it should and walk us through how to use the equipment, etc. He was quick to respond to our texts with questions as we had tehm once the pool was on. Again, since we are novices when it comes to owning a pool, we appreciate everyone's patience and knowledge as they answered our questions and explained the various steps and processes involved in creating our backyard paradise! - Larsen's Pool & Spa LLCLarsen Pools was great to work with. From the initial sales call with Joe to the pre-construction work with Jeremy and the actual construction with Bob, we felt like we could always call and get a response from their team. The sub contractors were friendly and knowledgable. The travertine work was excellent with the exception of having to ask 2 or 3 times to level some of the tile that were different elevations. They did level all tile after we marked the one's we felt needed work with blue tape. We discussed a construction schedule of about 3 weeks and it took about 4 weeks but that was fine and the attention to our concerns and details far out weighed the extra week of time. We were really pleased with the overall process and the final result of the work

"Reviews of Second Nature Landscaping published in Angie’s List were good, so I hired the company despite a relatively high bid price. The project was finished in timely fashion and appeared to meet all expectations; however, less than a month after completion, a very bad leak developed around one of the sprinklers included in the lawn irrigation portion of the project. The leak worsened, requiring that I shut off an entire watering zone. I called to report the problem, but the owner abruptly told me to call back on Friday - four days later. When I called that Friday, the owner said they were very busy and I would have to wait at least three or four weeks. He told me to keep calling and “he would see.” Rather than hope for Second Nature Landscaping to stand by its work, I hired another company that very Friday. The succeeding company completed the repair the next business day, quickly, effectively, and at a reasonable cost.

"Once I got a hold of him, he came and was very knowledgeable of what we needed done. The first time the service was done, he was also present to oversee the project. That was the last time we saw him. His workers did not maintain our property good enough for our HOA, had to leave message (never returned our calls to talk in person to answer our questions) every month to remind him that it was overdue for service. Have since found some who follows thru and communicates much better. If CJ would have done our maintenance, I feel it would have been better, at least if he was on location during the maintenance.

"We have considerably mixed feelings about this.
<br /> Bobby was punctual, informative and blew us away with the book of references he gave us. He clearly has a passion and believes in his work. We had several providers come to give us estimates and he was the only one that we were tempted to call back immediately and sign up with. He also gave us the best pricing for Wet Edge, although not the best pricing for a plaster or quartz finish.
<br /> There were, however, two red flags when talking to him.
<br /> First - he was trying to figure out where he could dig a 4'x4' trench to bury the waste leftover from cleaning the pool after applying the new finish - cement, stones, etc. This troubled us on several levels as we are gardeners, no one else mentioned doing this, that's a large hole and it didn't sound environmentally friendly. We couldn't help but wonder if costs were being cut where they shouldn't be.
<br /> Second - He said that he didn't offer warranties as they meant nothing in this business and he'd never had to go back to a job. The first thing we'd been told when researching this was that a person should always get a warranty on the work. The reason we were interested in Wet Edge is that they advertise that only certified applicators can apply the product and that it has a lifetime warranty. When I went back and checked the Wet Edge site for local applicators his business wasn't listed there. I double checked our estimate and it had Wet Edge product written on it. So I called Wet Edge, thinking perhaps he just wasn't on their site yet. They told me that they had never heard of his service or him and that he definitely wasn't one of their certified applicators.
<br /> We had liked him enough that we decided to email him about our concerns, hoping to give him an opportunity to "save face", but never heard back. In fairness, we contacted some of his references and they had been very pleased with his work. To us, the warranty was a very important aspect, however.

"I'd like to say how impressed I am with this company and the service they provided us today. This is the first time we've had a home with a well and this morning I discovered we had no water at all. I thought it might be the well pump, which had no warranty from the previous owner. So, I called this company at 7:30 am and got an immediate answer! They said they'd be out at 11:30 today. Wesley actually arrived a little earlier than that. He discovered that a lizard had gotten trapped in a switch box and by clearing it out the problem could be solved. Sure enough it was! And it was all of $139 for the visit and parts. I had imagined hundreds if not thousands of dollars today! Well done, Bay Area Pump and Well!
