The work is amazing and we are so pleased with all of the pieces he refinished. The color was spot on and the finish looks great. We will have these pieces in the home for a lifetime

    Chris told me that he could resize the lining of the cushions and resew. He did so and they came out beautifully. He charged me $300. Recovering would have been more expensive. These look great.

    He did a spectacular job, stripping and sanding, restaining and varnishing the entire set. He told me they would look good as new--I took that with a grain of salt (how could they?) but they actually do. He made repairs, replaced missing plugs/buttons, tightened/replaced loosened screws. He worked with care and respect for these pieces, and dropped by to check the final stain color to be sure before during the final varnish. When he returned them the table was a tiny bit wobbly, and he worked diligently (even making a return to his studio to get the right feet/protectors to adjust the height--it was just a matter of where/what kind of protective feet were on the tables pedestal) to make sure it was firm and stable before he completed the job. It took some time to get on his schedule, and the start of the work was a bit delayed, but the results and quality were well worth the wait. Lonnie was the real deal--a craftsman in his work

Lonnie wanted us very involved - so we knew everything going on (i.e. when he was a little bit back logged after they'd already picked up table), had us come in to review a few stain options and let us take it home to see in natural lighting to ensure we'd be pleased with final stain choice. He had us come in one last time prior to finishing table to ensure we were happy with the new table finishing. He offered the right price for the project (most other estimates were double), plus made sure to stay in touch with us even before we booked the job (and not in an annoying way) - super smart business man:) Already thinking about my next project I want to do with him

I just want the courtesy of a response. If I get a response and he has time to do the projects, I still would try to hire him

    AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH MATHIDA! On 6/17/21 I had the greatest experience at the HOM Furniture/Gabberts location at Little Canada! This is the first time I can confess that I had FUN furniture shopping! As I walked into the store, I was expecting to be bombarded and have salespeople following me around (like a majority of my experiences). However, I was warmly greeted by Mathilda. I quickly told her that I was looking for a living room set and that I would find her when it was time. She was so bubbly and full of friendliness that I abandoned my “I’ll find it on my own” attitude to seeing what was possible with Mathilda. Mathilda asked great questions to determine what I was really looking for and took the time to guide me through the store. She knew that I was frustrated with an experience with another chain so she did some research as I continued to look. By the time she returned, she had prepare some recommendations of sets I should look at. All of the choices checked off a majority of the things I wanted AND she had already checked to see if they were in stock and availability for the delivery date I chose. Mathilda found me a set that was PERFECT and found me a great deal on a TV console that fit the set like a glove. She worked with her manager (who was equally delightful) to waive delivery (since I already had a date for a dining room buffet purchased a week prior) and gave me a nice discount on the TV console since the manufacturer is no longer making that particular model. We have always purchased furniture from HOM and have more to get for our new home once we move. I will definitely be back to visit Mathilda soon. She made the experience the best I’ve ever had (I’m 50-something and have shopped a lot for furniture) and her personality, presence, and her care and compassion, has forever won my business with HOM forever! If you are looking for an over-the-top experience in the somewhat painful furniture shopping experience, make the trip to the HOM Furniture store at the Dock 86 facility and ask for Mathilda. You will not be disappointed! If a leader at HOM Furniture reads this, PLEASE recognize Mathilda for providing an exceptional and fun experience.     As an alternative to buyinig all new kitchen cabinets, we went to Daren and had him "refresh" all the doors and drawer fronts to fill in small chips in the veneer and just gereally clean everything and buff everything out with several coats of tinted wax--and saved over $20K. They turned out great and would strongly recommend considering this if you have old, good quality wood-finish cabinets that you'd like to keep. Plus, he worked overtime before leaving on vacation to make sure we could things put back together before we had the family over for Easter. -J
