- CUSTOM FURNITURE WORKSThey refinished a cedar chest and an antique bedroom set. Their work is excellent, but be aware that they extremely busy. I was in no hurry to get these items back and told them so. It took them about five months to complete everything and that was fine with me. I've had other companies refinish antiques for me in the past and Custom Furniture Works is the cream of the crop. I included photos but they don't do the furniture justice
- CUSTOM FURNITURE WORKSThe wood on my grandmother's 100 year old Jenny Lind bed had dried out and was falling apart to such an extent that a "handy man" had screwed the sideboards into the head- and footboards and attached wooden shims to the legs in an effort to keep them from splitting and splintering more. I was afraid it was beyond hope. But the Custom Furniture guys came out, assured me they could fix it, and returned with it 4 weeks later looking better than the day my grandma bought it. I could not see where the repairs has been done and everything was so beautifully finished, that it looked again like the beautiful bed it once was. I couldn't be happier with the work done, with the punctuality and professionalism of the men, and the friendliness of the entire company. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone in need of expert furniture repair

"I brought Brett four severely water damaged thermofoil kitchen cabinet doors, after having spent countless hours on the phone, online and in person trying to find someone who would take this job on. No one would! They were discontinued by the manufacturer. Finally I brought them to Modern Kitchens hoping to maybe purchase doors at least similar to the originals and they suggested I try St. Louis Restoration. I did, and Brett agreed to take it on! I really didn't have much hope because the doors were so severely damaged, but I figured anything would be an improvement. I could not believe my eyes when I saw them completed!! The doors could not be restored , so they rebuilt them! The paint match was as close to perfect as you could get! They are so well built and sealed, I will never have the water damage problem with them again! I could not be happier with the work as well as the price!!!!

I think they do fine work, but unless I were a professional pianist and the piano happened to be a Bosendorfer or Steinway and Sons, I just don't think the in-shop service is something I would want...not at the cost suggested....would probably upgrade the piano instead.

"We had a Pottery Barn sofa that we really liked. It was big and comfortable. But we could not get slip covers for it any longer. My sister and friends used Gomez and were extremely happy with their work. So we decided to use them. The staff was very helpful in picking out the material. Once the material was in they came out and picked up the sofa. They delivered the completed sofa in two weeks. The quality of work was excellent. But we had asked that the one big cushion to be made into two cushions and they did not make it into two cushions. The delivery guy said no problem, they would fix it. They left the house at 10 am and delivered the two cushions at 3:30 pm the same day. Outstanfing service. And the quality of the work was excellent. We would recommend them to anybody.
