That was not covered with our first American insurance my husband told him to hit the road and we would do it our selves . We got the parts at lows and he had it fixed in 15 minutes
- OneGuard Home WarrantiesWe called in the problem into One Guard whom called in the work order to one of their AC contractors. It happen to be Cooling and Heating of San Antonio. The first actual call was on a weekend of 30 Aug 14 when when my AC went out at which time I already knew and was told that the contractor would call me as soon as possible on Monday 1 Oct 14. I understand that since I did not have a medical situation or elderly people that it would not warrant an emergency weekend call. The contractor did contact me and make arrangements to to visit my home 2 Oct 14 when I could be available. Two technicians came out and diagnosed my problem with my unit in less then 30 minutes. Then they took the time to add Freon and try to patch the existing unit as well as blow the drip pipe so that we could get some AC unit approval of a new unit could be obtained and hardware procured and installed. The temporary fix did actually work which we were grateful for in 100 degree weather in Texas. The contractor wrote the report and I was called on 8 Oct 14 by One guard with the approval. The contractor also on 8 Oct 14 to make arrangements to come out to install the new equipment. The equipment was installed and we were cool and running well for a week. Unfortunately we had a small glich with cap and the contractor quickly came out to fix the cap in one day when I call them directly as directed by One Guard. The One Guard Account Executive for San Antonio saw that I had to call back the contractor for the glich and made sure that we had a follow up call. We have had no problems with the system since then. As a matter of fact the system is more efficient then my old system

The plumber called me 30 minutes prior to arriving at my house, which gave me time to prepare for his arrival. Once he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem and fully described to me what needed to be done. When I questioned his diagnosis, he did not get mad or upset, he simply showed me why the problem was easy to fix. He then left my house (which worried me that he wouldn't come back for 2-3 days) to find the proper part to fix the problem. He was gone for less than 30 minutes. About 10 minutes later, the main water supply was turned back on and my problem was fixed. Having a home warranty is sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse. The warranty company assigns a contractor and we have to normally live with that decision. It has been painful in the past, but today, I am very pleased and would recommend, and use Zeus Plumbing again

"Can not stress enough how happy I am with their services. Fast, efficient and clean installation. I was quoted almost three times as much by two of the "big" companies. I spoke with 1st choice and they gave me a fair and accurate price estimate. They installed a premium product that I would have had to pay an "upgrade" for with the other guys. They also replaced the air boxes with the ducts. The entire staff was very engaged with the job. The office was great and handled the transaction, exactly like they said they would, no calling back for paperwork or other issues. The Technician gave an accurate accounting of what was needed and how long it would take. No hidden costs or fees, very honest and up front with the whole job. After completion the techs stayed for a little while to make sure all the vents were blowing properly and that the ac was working as it should. "I saw American Residential Warranty advertised on TV for about the 10th time. I never paid any attention to it before because we had one. I started thinking about it and I looked and I thought I had put that information in my cell phone and I had. They were still advertising and they had a special on top of their normal. Oh my goodness it was such a good deal. It was so much cheaper than anybody else. You are not under a contract for a full year, you can cancel it at anytime. You can use your existing people, like if you have a plumber that you love, you can use him. It was just almost too good to be true. I kept asking her questions. Another good thing was that they cover stuff like garage door openers, which most of them don't. They cover ice makers and refridgerators which most of them don't. I was just bowled over. We haven't used them yet, we just signed up with them. By purchasing a full year we got 2 free months. And we have that option for the rest of our lives, to have it at the price we purchased originally and if we pay yearly we get the 2 free months from now on. That is almost unbelievable. I will let you know if I have any problems with them but right now I am very happy with them. If we cancel we get the prorated amount back. There was nothing that scared us about going ahead an using them. Just dealing with them on the phone, the woman was very knowledgeable, she answered all of my questions. I talked to her off and on for about 4 days. I would say, well, my husband wanted me to ask about this and my husband wanted me to ask about that. She knew, she didn't have to go ask somebody. They seemed to have their act together.

"Our kitchen ceiling fan stopped working. OneGuard sent Stellar Home Services to check it out. The tech quickly diagnosed it as a motor problem that needed replacing. It is an older Casablanca ceiling fan and the tech said we'd hear from OneGuard about a repair or replacement. We heard from OneGuard and they did indeed offer a contractor replacement or $110 cash-out. The FanDoctor of Phoenix repaired another fan a number of years ago so we called them. Replacement motors for our fan are no longer made but they can replace the bearings if that is the problem. I brought it in, they said the bearings were shot and it would be $125 for the repair. We took the cash-out option and the fan is being repaired. We can't expect OneGuard to pay for repairs eternally for what is a 33 year old fan! We are happy with the resolution.
