Austin from Wolfman performed a review of my fireplace/chimney prior to having it cleaned and repaired for safety. He was professional and recommended work that needed to completed for fireplace safety. He also identified work that did not need to be completed now but could wait until later. I will use this company for fireplace repair and cleaning

The crew doing the estimate and completing the work agreed to arrived on time (actually early). They worked diligently and adhered to the highest professional standards. The cost of the work was very reasonable, so much so that we did not bother to get more cost estimates.

It went excellent! On time, he and his crew are professional, stayed on task were informative. And since I did not climb up there (even though there was scaffolding) pictures of the completed work were provided. Before Jose Louis left I inquired as to the cost of another job. Definitely recommend

This was a messy, complex and expensive job, but it went well. The demolition was an after thought -- we brought Mr. Alvarado in to make the brick repairs, and he agreed to have his crew do the demolition down to the studs. Price for the demolition was reasonable -- especially given the amount of trash that needed to be carted away. Grinding the paint off two large brick walls left the surface smooth -- I probably should have asked about grinding out the mortar, so that the wall looked more natural. But there are no regrets as I much prefer the appearance of the natural unpainted brick to the painted brick. It was a messy, dusty job but the crew did it quickly and efficiently, and did a pretty good job of cleaning up their mess (though the dust did get everywhere). Special kudos to the crew for even coming during the afternoon on the day San Antonio received near-record rainfall. And the repaired chimney didn't leak during that rainstorm, nor has it leaked since. They did a good job

Lightning struck our chimney last fall. Mr. Alvarado came by in November to give a quote. Waited until after holidays to do repair. E-mailed Mr. Alvarado first week in January. He immediately called me to set time to do repairs. Came early in morning with crew and was finished by 2 PM. Work was done efficiently and quickly. Left work area clean. I would recommend Mr. Alvarado for masonry work

Jack was professional in every way, and called way ahead to confirm his estimated arrival, letting me know that the appointments were running a bit behind schedule that day ... which is always understandable in the residential services field. His communications before as well as during the appointment were top notch, including very clear explanations of the services needed and what he could do for us. In addition to the dirty chimney, we had a chimney that was not drawing smoke well at the end of fire when the embers begin to die down. We had tried several DIY solutions, after doing some research on the Internet, but the fireplace would still get smoky at the end of the fire. He removed a very heavy, temporary, ceramic chimney flue extension that I had installed myself (a trial-and-error attempt that didn't help our smoky fireplace problem). Jack even lowered it down from the roof for us, at no extra charge, and suggested that just giving the flue a good cleaning might solve the problem, along with the inside of the fire box and the "smoke shelf" part just above and behind the fireplace damper. I never even knew such a smoke shelf existed, so I learned some technical things about the fireplace/chimney apparatus that's handy to know. Jack is my kind of guy ... willing to suggest trying the obvious and less costly solution first, and then giving us a guaranteed bid for other steps we can try if this initial effort doesn't help the smoking problem. We've had warm weather since, so I haven't yet tested the fireplace. But I will make a follow-up edit to this review after we've seen how it goes. As for the chimney sweep service provided, Jack was tidy, professional, obviously knowledgeable and well-equipped for the job. He didn't leave a speck of dust anywhere, so we were pleased with the whole experience

It was excellent. Jack called within hours of my buying the coupon and we set up an appointment. He arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection. Since no cleaning was necessary, he applied the $89 to the work that did need doing. He gave me an estimate, which was exactly what he ended up charging, and we set up an appointment for the work. Again, he arrived promptly and put a cap on top of the chimney and packed the lintel, the area where the fireplace meets the chimney, to fireproof it. He was efficient and friendly. I'd use him again

Carlos, from the San Antonio branch called before arriving and arrived on time. My wife watched him as he meticulously went about his work. He discovered a tennis ball was lodged in the flu and removed it. He cleaned the entire flu and used drop clothes and a vacuum that prevented any debris from entering our home. He discovered minor mortar cracks inside the fireplace that he offered to fix for an additional $50, to which my wife agreed. He inspected the gas fire starter unit in our fireplace and determined it to function properly. Even though our chimney has a spark arrestor, he recommended we consider installing a chimney cap that will prevent water from entering the flu and damaging the interior of the chimney

I found them on Angie's List, and they did a great job. They came out promptly, they did everything they said, they were honest, and they cleaned up their mess. I couldn't ask for a better, friendly, helpful, courteous deal. They did everything just right, and just the way I expected. They started in March, so we had them do some work in March, and they finished today. I called a couple other places and they seemed in line with what other companies charged. With the level of service it seemed okay, I didn't expect a discount, because the level of service was outstanding and they did a great job. He brought his wife out one time because sh wanted to see what he did. Three different people came out at different times. There was nothing expected, he knew what he needed to do, and he did it, and it came out as he said. It was pretty good. I had to call them back a couple of times. I would recommend them to even my best friend
