"My husband and I had our kitchen remodeled among several other things we had the contractor do about three years ago. While we mostly like the end result, we are now having to redo our kitchen floor which was not done properly from the beginning. My husband and I have struggled with a lot of the shortcuts that were done and the job took longer than we were told it would take as our home is less than 700 square feet. We are paying out about $1800+ to fix our kitchen floor, which we shouldn’t have to do. They do not communicate well with people or with each other. They are also very wasteful. People, do your due diligence before hiring."

I'm really satisfied with it. The process is pretty easy. The man who helped me ordered it was very helpful. The color is nice. They also took in the samples of my floor and helped me pick a good color."

It depends on your ceiling height. Wall cabinets are typically mounted 54 inches from the floor. So, if you have eight-foot ceilings, you’ll need 42-inch-high wall cabinets to fill the gap. And you’ll need 54-inch cabinets if you have nine-foot ceilings. But standard-sized cabinets don’t come in 54 inches, so you'll need to stack various sizes together. And, if you have ceilings higher than nine feet, it’s a good idea to have custom stacked cabinets made to fill your space.

Cabinet refacing can last up to 20 years or more with proper care and reasonable daily wear and tear. High-quality materials also play a role, possibly boosting the lifespan to 50-plus years.

You don’t necessarily need to seal bathroom cabinets after painting, especially if you’ve used a gloss or semigloss paint. But adding a coat of high-quality sealant can add a layer of protection against bathroom moisture that can cause the wood to swell or warp or allow mold and mildew growth.

Late summer or early fall are two popular times to upgrade kitchen cabinets. With the holidays right around the corner, this gives you spillover time in case your renovation project takes longer than anticipated. Then you get to host and show off your new kitchen when company comes.

There are three primary ways to attach upper kitchen cabinets to a wall, and installers may use more than one method at a time. The most common method is to drive screws through the back of the cabinets and into studs in the wall behind. Sometimes cabinets are glued to the wall with strong adhesive. Often a combination of screws and adhesive is desirable. The last way is by hanging the cabinets on hardware brackets that attach to the wall before cabinet installation.
