Recent Septic Tank Service Reviews in Oklahoma City

  • Advanced Plumbing & Sewer Service LLC
Ray and Mike have been really, really helpful to our elderly parents in Mustang, they have come out the same day we've called them, in three water events with different causes (very old plumbing...) and cared about getting the folks' situation taken care of before leaving. We are very pleased with their service and responsiveness

  • Dependable Septic Service
He came out the same day I requested an appointment when I explained I had sewage backing up into the house. I was so very grateful he was able to come out so soon since it was a holiday weekend. He located the septic tank lid in just a few minutes and was able to clear the clogged pipe immediately. He did a very thorough job cleaning out the tank. Outstanding work and excellent customer service! My father used the same company last year and was very pleased with their work

  • Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Oklahoma City
It was a fairly extensive project, and I was very satisfied with them. They were competent and reliable and their pricing was fair, though not inexpensive. They came and did what they said they were going to do, and did it in a timely manner. There weren’t any surprises or add-ons. The job took more than a week, and they had other jobs going on at the same time, so there was one delay over some equipment that was being used on another job

At first, was not impressed of service call tech. Kind of had a know-it-all attitude. But Steve, Bryan, Curt scoped line out. Brought technician in, replaced the line. Restrung my fence. All very courteous & responsive.

I needed a sewer line ran from the house to the main, fast. I live in a 1920s home and it still had the original sewer lines which of course decided to give out at the exact wrong time. I figured this would be an expensive job, so I decided to get 3 estimates. The line was about 100 feet long and 11 foot deep at the riser. First quote was 13k, second quote was 10K, third quote was 7k- which I almost took. I decided on getting one more, since they were all over the place. Glad I did! Mr. Rooter quoted me $3700ish for the job. I immediately accepted and they started the next day. The crew was friendly and very helpful. Total professionals. Very polite, very honest guys. They gave a ton of excellent advice and kept me in the loop on all things they were doing. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this, it sometimes seems like most service providers are out to get you, they see nothing but profit. Not Mr. Rooter, these guys are the real deal. I can't recommend them enough. They now have another lifetime customer- me

The people at Red Dirt were amazing! From the phone calls all the way to the service performed!! Came out and took care of our problem way before we thought it could be fixed. Highly recommend them!!!!

Showed up on time. Came back out after installation to show us how to use it and checked the system again to make sure working properly. Great experience.

Went well, I called and they made an appointment in 2 days. Didn’t have a time when they would be there, but as requested they called before they arrived. They found tank and got to work right away. Determined I needed a new t-pipe (or something) and offered to come back later that same evening to finish the job. The technician was really nice and got right to work and finished the job. Not sure if price was right or not, I didn’t shop around much but seemed fair

Their quote is for $3900. We just liked what we saw and they were very pleasant and our contractor who is to build our new home has worked with them before so that was a good reason to go with them.

We had liquid coming to the surface in our yard. The owner, Kevin, came out and looked at our septic system. Our system is over 30 years old. Everyone else I talked to over the phone thought I probably needed a new system. Kevin had his employees come out the next day. They drained the tank and started digging. The supervisor on the job was very helpful. When we were told we just needed distribution boxes replaced we were thrilled. They explained everything to us. Their integrity is outstanding. They could have told us we needed a new system and we would have not questioned it because of the age of our system. Kevin told us our soil was good and system could last quite a while longer. I would highly recommend Red Dirt Septic

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
