I would definitely recommend Darin with Thompson & Son Construction for your remodel needs. From start to finish he was professional and got the job done. He walked us through the entire process and gave us the Master Bathroom of our dreams. I will call him again for our next project!

Justin with Ridgid Construction was very professional and did a great job on our roof replacement. He was punctual, knowledgeable and great at staying on top of the details. A bonus was Justin's ability to be a good advocate for us with our insurance company, which was no easy feat. He took a load off of our shoulders, installed a beautiful quality roof, and all with excellent customer service! Thank you Ridgid Construction! This is the company to use for your roofing needs read less

  • Dreamworks Construction
    2.0
This review is being written to provide a warning to others before deciding to have Dreamworks Construction build your new custom home. We can only speak to our experience with Dreamworks and the custom home that was built for us. It’s our opinion that others should not use Dreamworks Construction to build their custom home. The owner/operator of Dreamworks does a lot of things well, but he misses the mark completely when it comes to honesty, quality assurance and following through on his promises. We have currently lived in our home for a little over a year and a half now and we love a lot of things about the home, but there are still issues that were brought to the builder’s attention within months of moving into the home that have never been addressed or have still not been resolved properly. At one of our most recent in-person conversations with the builder about some of the unaddressed and ongoing problems, we were told by the builder that he had already spent too much money on our home and wasn’t willing to make any additional repairs, replacements or corrections to the home unless they caused the home to be unlivable. He openly admitted that some things were not done to the Dreamworks standards, but he just can’t spend anything additional on our home. We have only asked the builder to live up to what he told us in person and the claims made on his website. Just a few of the outstanding and unresolved issues we have: • Around half of the contractors used by the builder on our home would not have been the first time the builder ever used said contractors (many of which, the builder has since told us that he has chosen to no longer use on future homes) • We wouldn’t have walls that are not straight (some are off by over ½ inch) • Paint peeling/chipping/rippling on numerous trim and crown pieces • Numerous tile and grout problems • Concrete flat work that was done improperly and causes standing water in areas (at times resulting in water entering the home through the front entrance) • A yard that had 1/4th of the sod die due to the sprinkler system not being operational for over two months upon moving into the home (back yard sod did not get watered other than from what little rain occurred during that time). The builder, just this month, did provide 8 rolls of sod to replace and patch the dead areas. This was much appreciated, but it took over a year and now we’re having to try and get the new areas of sod to take root and level up with the rest of the yard. • We did not receive the garage doors that we originally ordered. We were told by the builder that he never orders black garage doors from the supplier and just orders white garage doors and then paints them. Unfortunately, the paint job on the white garage doors was not completed properly and white shows through in many areas. The white continues to show even after the builder had his painters touch the doors up once. • All these things, along with the fact that we asked about and were told by the builder at the beginning of the building process that a retaining wall was not going to be necessary along one side of the property, only to be told 5 months later that a retaining wall was needed, and we would be responsible for the approximate $4000 to have it completed. We expressed our displeasure about how the retaining wall issue was handled and the builder promised to pay $1000 towards the wall due to it being sprung on us so late in the process. Unfortunately, the builder did not reduce the price of the home, nor has he paid us any money for the retaining wall. The Dreamworks website used to speak to how if things were not done properly then Dreamworks would do what was necessary to make those things right for all parties involved. We made mention of those statements on his website and how we didn’t feel he had lived up to them for the issues mentioned above and not long after we brought it to his attention those statements were no longer found on the Dreamworks website. Please be cautious of using this builder. He has the ability to sound very trustworthy and some of the homes we viewed and that he built a few years ago would help to ease any anxiety about him building your new custom home, but unfortunately, he no longer is using many of the same contractors he was back then and he has also decided to try and build too many homes all at the same time (he had at least 5 homes going, 3 customs and 2 spec, while building our home) resulting in him not being available onsite enough to make sure each step is being completed suitably and to the standards that a custom home owner should expect. The builder has told us directly a few times that it’s just him and he is not able to make it to each home site he has going every day. Yet just another promise he didn’t live up to from what we were told before choosing him to build our home. It looks like we will now be looking for quality contractors on our own to resolve the issues we have experienced with our home that was built just a little over a year and a half ago read less

The whole process was smooth and professional. Thomas is honest and straightforward. We had a good understanding of the scope of the project up front, including how much it would cost.
