  Having had a roof put on 24 years ago, which took 10 days to finish, I wasn't looking forward to going through it again. I checked with neighbors and all said that their job was "okay, but . . .". Since I had good luck with plumbers and arborists from Angie's list I decided to take a look and chose Sawyer Roofing and Construction - highly rated. After calling Dennis Sawyer I made an appointment with him for which he promptly showed up for at the specified day and time. He spent almost 2 hours looking at the roof and chimney (minor issues) from the ground and on the roof all the while explaining what he saw and would recommend. He had a nice computer presentation about the company, products they use, the people who work for him and how they go about each step. All costs were listed on paper with the final total being about what we had budgeted for. This included the chimney work and new gutters-gutter caps around the front and back. Half of the payment was due when the work started and half due when it was completed. The crew showed up about 0800 on the appointed day and worked through until about 1900 hours finishing the work and cleaning up until it was too dark. They returned the next morning early to finish a thorough clean up. I couldn't be happier with the service from beginning until the end including the clean-up. His crew worked with only a half hour break and everyone seemed to know what exactly to do and when. No one was standing around or wandering about at any time. Dennis Sawyer was on site off and on the whole day. What a change from the previous roofing job 24 years ago. I highly recommend Sawyer Roofing. Everything was completed on time and with professionalism and no "high-powered" sales job with things you don't need. Excellent from beginning to end.   Quite simply this is one of the best companies I've ever worked with. From the start when Aaron came out to give me the estimate I felt I was in good hands and was confident this company was shooting me straight. I had several companies come out and give bids but bone dry was the only one who took the time to explain things in great detail how they go about fixing the problem. They gave me 2 options to fix our chimney that was visibly in a state of disrepair - we ultimately chose the more expensive option to tear down and start from scratch. Bone dry was competitive with the other bids I received but I ultimately went with them because they were the most professional. They didn't disappoint. Once I accepted the bid Jon Boswell met me at my house and had brick samples he preselected as best matches based on photos Aaron took when he gave me the estimate. Jon was very patient as my wife & I deliberated on what worked best for us. Jon made extra effort to try to find different brick I found on another website and fully explained what would happen to the time table if we chose this route vs. using readily available brick. Ultimately we decided on brick Jon initially brought out and we weren't disappointed. After the decision was made on the brick Jon immediately scheduled the work to be done. They started the work exactly when they said and worked thru the day in 100+ degree heat. Jon went out of his way to explain what was going throughout the rebuild. All of his guys on site were very professional and kept the job site extremely clean. When they had wrapped up it's as if they were never there the site was so clean. Also to note when Jon and his guys came out that morning I pointed out a brick not part of the chimney (on the front facade of my house) that needed reset and he took care of that at no charge. When I tried to pay him for it he refused - even though it took him about 20 minutes of extra time to fix. After the rebuild Jon explained that he'd be out the next morning to take the forms off the new chimney crown they'd poured and that their roofing division would be out within 2 weeks to take care of the new flashing and shingle replacement. Within 2 weeks their roofing guy put the new flashing and shingles on and it looked great. 30 days after the rebuild Jon came back out and finished up with the waterproofing and called to tell me everything was now done.   After chasing a baby squirrel out of my fireplace and around my kitchen, my wife suggested I get the chimney cap looked at. Since the cap is 18 years old and rusty, Mother Nature made it very easy for the squirrels to get in and out and make a very safe home away from the local red tail hawk! So, who do you call? I tried a fireplace search on Angie's List and found Bone Dry Roofing. Who knew Bone Dry did chimney services? So I made an appointment and two roof Ninja's from Bone Dry Roofing arrived and went up on my roof. From some digital photos taken on the roof, I learned that my furry friend made a very nice home from leafs just inside of the flue. So, if I used my fireplace, a simple spark could have set a nice fire on my roof. Not good. So, Bone Dry provided three different options from repair, modify or replace the chimney cap. Nice to have choices! I elected to replace the entire chimney cap. But that is not the end of the story. While on the roof, the Bone Dry representative pointed out two holes in my 8 year old roof! Apparently, my furry friends had decided to completely eat the plastic base cap attached to my sewer vents leaving a nice 8" hole in my roof. I could always hear some rain drops in my garage but never seen any rain? Left unfixed, it was matter of time before enough of rain would have caused my ceiling to drop or suffer some serious damage. So, I like my new stainless steel, no holes and lifetime warranty chimney cap and no more dripping sounds in my garage when it rains. So, do I give that baby squirrel (we nickname him Smoky) that ran through my living room credit or Bone Dry for getting me out of this situation? Thanks Bone Dry! Highly recommendedshow more

  I really appreciated the time and effort Roger, Sarah, and the whole staff at Bone Dry took to service my repair. They were patient in answering my questions, explained the work to be done and gave me the time-line for completing the work. They called before arrival and explained the work to be completed. I have to say they even went above and beyond when my daughter locked herself out of the house without shoes, keys or her phone.   Overall, Bone Dry Roofing did a superb job. I called them several months ago to get an estimate. They were very courteous on the phone and extremely professional. This is very rare nowadays, when most businesses either do not even bother to answer the phone or to return calls, or if they do, they are rude and unprofessional, and make you feel like you are bothering them. Bone Dry Roofing?s staff (Carl) came at the pre-set time, they gave me an estimate, and then they performed the job as planned. They kept in excellent communication with me and let me know when the next step would occur, when the parts would arrive, and when the job would be finished. They were punctual, courteous, respectful, and very professional. I would like to commend, in particular, Carl, who oversaw and managed the whole project. Everything was done as planned, no extra charges and no surprises. They took a great deal of care in cleaning up the driveway after putting on a new roof, so that no nails or other debris would remain. Everything was perfectly clean. In summary, this was perfect service. A few weeks after finishing the roof, I discovered a problem that occurred during the roof installation (but was not directly caused by the roofers). Carl came to my house on the same day I called him, looked at the problem, and fixed it immediately, without any charge. He was genuinely concerned about the quality of his work and wanted to provide the best possible solution, which he did. I greatly appreciated his promptness and concern. I would heartily recommend Bone Dry Roofing to anybody who needs work done on their roof or gutters.
