He also even gave me a little discount to compensate for gas, as I was driving my chairs to him over an hour away, in Pennsylvania. - Anna's upholsteryIt was very satisfying. Anna took time to explain options and materials, and allowed (for a deposit) me to take sample books along to show my wife at work. She did NOT try to "steer" me to the most expensive option, but a far more economical one that proved perfect for our needs. She is personable, and seems to be a bit of a "character", which I mean in a most positive sense. I picked up the finished chairs, which were recovered in "recycled" leather, and the work quality is terrific. I recommend her to anyone looking for quality work on their furniture
- JEAN WOLFE UPHOLSTERYI had two dining room chairs that I needed upholstered. I was originally quoted $90 per chair (ridiculously low) and told that I would be put on the waiting list which was 6 weeks long. I received a call within 4 weeks and they came to pick up the chairs and fabric. When Jean was ready to upholster them she called and explained to me that because the entire chair was upholstered it would be $125 per chair (still an amazingly low price). She also clarified what the project entailed as there was A LOT of extra fabrics (Calico Corners has HORRIBLE guides on yardage). The chairs were ready within a week and delivered. The total cost was close to $300 when tax and the delivery charge was added in. I am incredibly happy with the service, the price and the end result. My chairs are perfect and I will use Jean Wolfe Upholstery for any future upholstery that I need
- PETER'S UPHOLSTERYOur couch had 2 brackets of the support springs come out. Mr. Peters came to our house to take the piece of the couch that was affected and brought it back repaired the next day. The price of the service included coming to our house, repairing it, and delivering it back to us. Not only did he repair the 2 springs that were no longer supporting the couch, he repaired the other brackets of the springs so that they won't come out in the future. I can tell that this side is more secure than the other side of our couch. He also showed us how to take the couch apart so we can take it to his shop if the other part breaks in the future

- Furniture FinesseI took the one original seat that I had over to their store in York. They sent it out to have a new wooden seat bottom made for the one chair and two round, well padded naugahyde seat covers made in an accent color to match my new home. They called a couple of weeks after I took them there and I went over to pick them up. They looked beautiful and I brought them home and they fit into the chairs perfectly and look lovely. I did think though that the price was quite expensive considering the size of the two small cushions that were made, but as they did such a nice job of making up the cushions, I am quite pleased with them, the set looks like brand new again. I recommend them if you want a nice job done and don't mind a fairly high price

Ann did the heavy lifting throughout; interfacing with and keeping the sub contractors on schedule, taking care of any problems, supervising and insuring that the work was of top quality. She really spoiled us with her attention to detail. Ann is extremely demanding of the service providers (so we didn't have to be).
