Reviews of Septic Maintenance Contractors Near You

Eugene Copsey Plumbing Septic & Well Svc
The Copsey driver was very courteous and arrived as scheduled. The driver/technician provided several helpful hints about septic maintenance.

They performed a test and gave feedback that there were no issues and gave feedback on a maintenance plan to ensure healthy septic in the future.

Stewarts Septic Service, LLC
Stewart's turned out to be a excellent choice. They arrived exactly as promised. I made the appointment over the phone and was told the technician would arrive between 10am and 12 noon. He arrive shortly after 10am. Fairfax County notified us that our tank needed to be pumped (we've only been here less than 2 years) so this was a routine service and not an emergency, but they scheduled our appointment within a few days of my call. Before he started any work, the technician let me know that the condition of the septic tank cover had deteriorated due to weathering and let me know that there was a chance it could break when he lifted it. I gave my permission to proceed, but I really appreciated know that ahead of time that I might have to replace the cover ASAP if it cracked or broke apart. The technician carefully dug around the lid and lifted it without problems. The waste removal was done quickly and very thoroughly, and I was charged exactly what was quoted to me. An all-around good experience with an extremely professional and capable company. Highly recommended.

As far as I can tell, it went well. However, they were supposed to come between 12-4PM because I wanted to be there. They arrived early (11:25) as I was leaving to pick up my daughter from preschool and were done before I got home at 12:01PM. I purposely chose the time so that I could see the before condition of the tank and verify it was properly cleaned. (yes, they understood that at the time I made the appointment). The cleaning seemed to be of good quality, there was no mess, and the technician was polite and professional. Even though I was extremely unhappy that my wishes to be present were ignored, I would recommend them and will probably use them next time (approximately 4 years). They do offer quite competitive prices and were available when I wanted them (at least in theory).

The technicians here are very talented, they keep this company afloat. One office employee here is combative with the customer (and staff). Price gouging is the rule here, the technicians know this and will help you buy new hardware at a fraction of the Triple R charges the customer. Work was performed by a technician that has since quit for a better employer. The work included installing material purchased new and other repairs. After installing the new equipment the office gets very combative and makes the customer feel like THEY are the problem. Weeks later after the service was performed I called the company back to get some warranty work done - not related to the hardware I purchased with the technicians help. Now, nothing that goes wrong with my system has any backing by the company. Triple R does not back the work their technicians do. The office staff person known as "E----" is combative and rude, there was no problem with any other folks I talked to. The company allows this to continue, this office staff person is representing the company very poorly. If I could work with the technicians only I'd be happy. In most companies this is the way they do business. Triple R lets one office employee ruin customer relations.

They ran a vacuum line from their truck parked on the street to my septic tank located behind my house, requiring a couple of tube extension hookups. Service was excellent, fast, courteous, professional on each occasion.

Macken Services, Inc.
Called Macken Services and they were able to set up an appointment very quickly. Explained that we were new homeowners and they were great about explaining how the septic system works. They came and pumped our system and there were no issues. Great customer service and they do offer military discount.

Had to wait all day since my emergency followed a 3 day weekend. Technicians arrived and quickly diagnosed and fixed issue. They were courteous and professional, despite having worked a long day themselves. I have scheduled regular maintenance work with them for next month.

Totally on time just as promised. I spent the entire period of his visit outside watching and talking with the technician and everything went very well. I also picked up a number of facts about the "what's and how's" of septic system maintenance, and overall it was simply an excellent piece of work as far as I was concerned.

Ace Contracting Septic Services Inc
Over the course of just under 5 years, ACE came to our home a handful of times for routine maintenance and clean-out for our septic system. The actual work they did appeared fine -- typical poking of the field, cleaning the filter, and cleaning the tank. The guys that came out always seemed courteous. The handling of scheduling/billing/customer service was very inconsistent and lousy. We were billed twice for work not completed; including the tank clean-out in our 3rd year. They were adamant that they had showed to clean our tank but ended up finding where they had made a mistake. The time before that we were billed for the typical maintenance (poking/filter cleaning) but no one had actually come out to the home. We were certain of this since my wife and I both work from home with a dog and driveway sensor. Be cautious of their 'gas price' portion of the maintenance agreement. They stated a $35 increase each bill if gas prices reach a certain dollar amount (which the price is always above these days) and claim it is for the expensive price of diesel fuel. The typical maintenance guy shows up in a small SUV so the hike is a little steep in my opinion.

Appointment was easy. Truck arrived and the driver dug up some of the grass that was concealing the cement cover of the septic tank. He was careful to remove the grass such that it could be replaced later. He then removed the lid and proceeded to pump out the waste. Overall it went very smooth and lid along the grass was replaced over the tank lid. Driver was also able to answer any questions I had about the operation and maintenance of the septic system. I would recommend their service without hesitation.

I called them Thursday, they had an opening for Friday 12-3, showed up just before 12. Jeremy was very informative about the good condition of my tank, the role of bacteria, what kills the bacteria, the size of my tank (it is bigger than I thought) and other maintenance issues. The price MAY have been a few bucks higher ($235) than what others quote (I THINK around $200), but well worth the excellent service.

I picked Chief because of the reviews here (and they are local) and was not disappointed. I needed a routine septic tank service, since I did not know when the last service was completed before I moved in four years ago. Juan and Hector arrived well within their stated two-hour window and went to work. Juan discussed various aspects of septic maintenance and unlike some providers I have studied, did not try to sell me any products designed to enhance septic tank function. He was friendly, polite and they got the job done within an hour.

I can't say enough good things about Mr. Boswell. He showed up on time, got right to work, explained the whole process and everything he found as he completed his work. He was incredibly knowledgeable (and not just about septic tanks), professional but also very friendly and down-to-earth. He came to the rescue after a horrible experience with another inspector, and he reduced my stress level (and probably my blood pressure) within the first 5 minutes of the inspection. We will absolutely be hiring Mr. Boswell in the future for any septic tank maintenance or issues we experience.

Our experience with Fyock's Septic was extremely positive. Skip came out the same day as called and pumped our septic tank. During the process he talked to us about the possible causes of the issues we were having with the tank backing up. He was incredibly informative and helpful. We will always call Fyock's for any septic related issues or maintenance we have in the future because we were so pleased with the service and Skip's willingness to spend time talking with us about some of the potential issues with our system.

I contacted Loudoun Septic after another maintenance guy noticed a small backup in the basement bathtub. They agreed to come out, pump the tank and look for any problems. We had lived in the house for about 3 years, had a brand new build and were due for a pumping. They came out, pumped the tanks, snaked the lines and discovered that the filter pipe was not connected to the other tank. This was done by another provider when the home was built 3 years ago. Jesse was able to get several people out to help them that day. They pumped out the tank, cleaned and repaired the filter and attached the pipe to the second tank. This was all done while I was on a rare business trip and my wife was managing two sick children. I can't thank them enough for their promptness, professionalism and competence in fixing a situation before it got really bad. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to all my neighbors. I couldn't have hoped for a better group of people to help with a bad situation.

A & A Septic Repair Service, LLC
Our septic pump alarm was sounding. We called a couple local companies for repair. Mr. Rick Aits responded promptly (the other company did not even call back). He and an assistant (Mike) arrived and inspected the system, measured voltage and current, and determined that the pump had failed. He arranged to have the tanks pumps out (at separate charge - $450 - from a sister company "Aits Septic Service"). He then replaced the pump and the three floats. He arranged for the final inspection by the county health department. Mr. Aits made three separate trips to provide the service -- the initial estimate, the repair, and the final inspection. He looked at the entire system and gave us advice on construction, maintenance, and care of the septic system including the drain field. He was very meticulous and warned us of things that could go wrong in the future. I am not prepared to judge the relative price or quality of the work, because I have not basis of comparison. I do feel confident that we got good service at a good price. Mr. Aits' service was certainly responsive and professional. I was impressed.

I had called another company to come out and clean my septic tank a year prior to King & Sons coming out. They came out and cleaned the tank and then told me what I needed to do to make our septic tank function properly. Gave me a price and then never came out. I called them and they did not even remember me as a customer. I was referred by my plumber to call King and Sons. I spoke with Barbra Ann. She got me scheduled in a timely manor to come out and pump the septic tank and to do a consult on what was needed to repair my septic tank. They came out pumped out the septic tank, told me what I needed to repair the system, gave me a verbal price that seemed fair for the work. They came back out a few days later and preformed the repair work. They dug up my front yard and put it back just as they found it. The price was just what they quoted. They will be coming back out regularly to preform maintenance.

Brown & son Septic Service Inc
I used another service to pump my tank years ago. They were very condescending to me, so I didn't want to use them again. I hired Brown and Son on Angie's rating alone and it is a very well deserved A! They were on-time, incredibly polite and very professional. It was a good thing they used the PLAT to find my tank, because not only do I suspect that the last company never pumped my tank to begin with, but my tank had root issues that I was unaware of. They gave me some advice as to how to handle the immediate problem and a contact number for someone to cut down a tree that has been causing some unknown issues with my tank. They also gave me advice about where to avoid driving large vehicles in my yard to prevent cracking the drainage field. The price justified the work they did - They were in my yard all day and had to dig out what look like enough dirt to fill a dumptruck!. While they were packing up, I asked questions about Septic maintenance that I always wondered about - Such as the effectiveness of Rid-X, how much water to use and when, and if any detergents could potentially cause problems, they not only answered every question I asked, but gave me an informative brochure as well. I don't think I will ever use another company again - I am sticking with Brown and Son indefinitely! if I could give them an A+ rating, I would!
