It went great from start to finish. Called and spoke to Bonnie who set up the appt. She was very nice over the phone. The Tech. who came was on time and called to say when we would arrive 10 minutes out. I thought I was going to save some $$ so I purchased a door seal from an online Appliance Store after watching UTube.I installed it but it still leaked. That's when I called All American Appliance Service Inc.The tech open the door of the dishwasher and saw I installed the door seal backwards. Showed me the rib on it and how that need to be turned around. Told me it was a common mistake if you do not know what your doing. He installed it and we turned on the dishwasher. It seem to fix it and I told him so when suddenly water was leaking again. We quickly turned off the water and said it was the valve. He had one on the truck. We talked about his childern, old job, and come to find out I knew his Dad who work for the Cnty. when I did.He was very friendly. He spoke very highly of his companyand like working for them.I would call them for any appliance work I need again. I was not charge for re-installing the door seal just the valve, which I thought was very kind of them. After installing the valve the tech. stayed to make sure it did not leak and told me if it did to call him and he would come back as soon as he could. I did not have to do that. NO LEAKS. Happy wife Happy Life.

We were able to get a same day appointment to have our dishwasher fixed. The tech called before arriving, and arrived at the beginning of the window that we were given. He had the parts necessary to complete the repair on his truck, and worked quickly to get the work completed. He was also very friendly and professional.

In January 2014 our expensive 18 month old dishwasher decided to drain itself onto the floor instead of through the attached hose. We thought it might be a bad hose connection so we called a plumber, who was very nice, charged $300 to replace a handle under the sink, and said the dishwasher wasn't a plumbing issue. I called KitchenAid, they gave me the names of 2 companies to call for repairs but these companies were more interested in selling me an extended warranty. I wasn't impressed with this 'service'. After reviewing customers' comments and ratings on Angie's List and the Washington Checkbook, I decided to call Land M Appliance Service. The owner, Buddy, came to check the dishwasher about a week later. He said the dishwasher needed a new pump and motor, he ordered the parts the same day, and installed them a week later. He was very professional, nice to work with, and his fees were reasonable. He notified us well in advance of arrival times and was very thorough and attentive to the work he was doing, including a follow up visit the day after the repair to make sure everything was working correctly. I will definitely call Buddy first if any of our other appliances need some attention.

Called on Thursday afternoon and technician was able to come next day! Tech was prompt (actually called and said he could arrive earlier and asked if that was okay), put shoe covers on before entering my house, used tarp to protect floor where working, quoted price before beginning repair, completed work quickly, and even gave me info on a warranty-covered common problem with our microwave (in case it ever acts up). Highly recommend & will be at top of my list for future needs or referrals!

Our Kitchenaid dishwasher was not cleaning dishes in the upper rack nor dispensing rinse agent. He found that the motor was malfuncting and ordered a new one for us. It came in 2 days, and then he quickly scheduled a visit to install it, which I appreciated. This project him to remove the dishwasher to get at the part.. Work was done quickly and professionally and with minimum mess or disruption. Now the dishes are clean and al lis well. :)

Roy from AAAS diagnosed the problem immediately and provided a reasonable estimate. They ordered the pump and scheduled the repair. Roy returned with the part, and obviously had done the repair before. He quickly had the dishwasher back online. Very happy with the service!

The service man came within the appointed time and called 10 mins before arriving. He went right to work, showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and provided the cost for the repair. He had the parts, so he replaced them and saw to it that the dishwasher and refrigerator were working before he left. Repairing these myself obviously would have been a lot cheaper, but I was uncomfortable pulling these appliances apart. Unfortunately I'm stuck with having to pay for these types of repairs -- but I'm happy with the results. I will definitely call them again when I need an appliance serviced.

I called SOS on 12/11 and recd appt for next day, 12/12. Mr. Raouf arrived 3 hours early which pleased me. He diagnosed the problem and within one hour the dishwasher was fixed and running. Very professional, attentive to the work, not a lot of unnecessary discussion. I paid his requested price. Moments after he left, I remembered the online coupons for $50 discount that I forgot to present. Note to self....next time have the coupons along side the checkbook! (smile) Great job Raouf! Thank you!!

Our nearly 4 year old KitchenAid dishwasher needed service and after googling the symptoms I found what I believed to be the problem (and even a You Tube video w/ step-by-step instructions to replace part) and looked at Angie's List for a recommendation. From the initial contact (within two hours of my online inquiry) to the timely and courteous technician completing the work, it was A++. Sadly, customer service is hard to come by these days and we get excited when anything comes close to simply getting the job done. All American Appliance is the real deal and I recommend them to all my friends!!

The cable that holds the door on my KitchenAid dishwasher snapped. The result was that the door could only be fully open or fully closed. When the heavy door was opened it dropped suddenly and could cause injury. I found Apache Appliance on Angie's List and they came out the next day. The repairman worked quickly and professionally, and the work was done in under an hour.

I am still waiting for a part which supposedly was ordered 9 days ago. They now say they will order it today!! There seems to be no communication in this company. The part is under warranty, it's a new Kitchenaid dishwasher, but you have to pay just to have them tell you this. I would never buy an appliance from Bray and Scarff again.

2 1/2 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher was making noise. Bray & Scarff technician came and in 5 minutes cleaned out the filter. But he completely overlooked the missing (not broken, missing) food chopper assembly. Two months later (after their 30 day warranty expired) the noises returned because the food particles accumulated again. Bray & Scarff would not remedy their incompetent technician's repair. They would not even acknowledge their error or waive even part of a new service call fee. Very disappointing. Tried to get sales person to help but supervisor overruled him - she was arrogant and acted as if it was my privilege to use Bray & Scarff for service.

Expert Appliance Services provided us with a convenient weekend appointment. They showed up on time; wasted no time getting to work and quickly identified the problem, fixed it, and were done in five minutes (power connector to the drain pump had come dislodged). Showed me what to do if it ever happened again. $50 service charge was worth every penny.

Excellent experience. Telephone receptionist was very efficient and courteous, got an appointment quickly and appointment was given within a 3-4 hour time slot. I was notified by telephone as technician was on the way. Technician seemed very capable and experienced. He checked several things in the machine besides thing at fault and in general was very helpful.

I call Discount Appliance Repair based on Angie's List ratings and they scheduled an appointment with me for the next business day. They came, looked in to the problem, and told me the supervisor would call me the next business day, within 24 hours to confirm the repair technician's recommendation. They did as they said they would.

OLD DOMINION APPLIANCE REPAIR
5.0
Last year, I had called Old Dominion Appliance Repair about problems that I was having with my electric oven. I spoke to Alan at that time and, because of the difficulty in getting parts for the oven, he recommended that I use the manufacturer's repair service and gave me the name and number of that manufacturer's local technician. I was so impressed with Alan's concern that my oven be repaired quickly with the right parts, rather than taking the job on himself, that I kept his name and number in the event I needed other appliances to be repaired. Recently, when my dishwasher started leaking from within its internal mechanism, I knew who I was going to call. I called Old Dominion on Wednesday and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Alan called to confirm his arrival time on the day of the appointment and arrived exactly when promised. Not only did Alan arrive on time, but he arrived with the parts that he suspected he would need based on my description of the problem and was ready to go to work. In very short order, the failed part was replaced, the leaking stopped, and the dishwasher was running perfectly. Noticing that the dishwasher had not been properly leveled when installed, Alan went the extra step of fabricating a shim to level the dishwasher and did so at no additional charge. Our dishwasher is now working perfectly, is properly leveled, and no longer looks crooked under our counter top. We could not be happier with the work that Alan did and will definitely use Old Dominion Appliance for any future appliance repair needs that we have. On the personal side, Alan is friendly, polite, and professional. While one never wants appliances to break down, it is nice to know that there is such a wonderful repairman like Alan serving the Haymarket area. Thanks again, Alan!

No issues whatsoever. The part needed to be ordered for the dishwasher and I was told it would be delivered the next day. I asked to delay until Friday since I would be home in the morning. I was also given the cost for replacing the outside dryer vent and the dryer exhaust hose. I called on Thursday to be sure the part was in and I was on the schedule for Friday morning first thing. The tech came as scheduled, repaired the dishwasher and left the bad parts on my counter. He installed the new dryer hose and new vent. I was told to leave the tape on the new vent for several hours to be sure the adhesive used dried completely. I wrote a check and that was it. Great service and great prices!

I put in a call to replace my dishwasher control board in Feb 2014. Roxanne on the phone took days to return my initial call. Set up an apptointment and they came out to assess. They took my $100 and said they needed to replace the control board. They never called to follow up. I called days later and they said they needed to order the part. Finally, after Donald replaced the control board the first time, it worked initially but, right after he left, it stopped working and I actually called him soon after he left the house. He said Roxanne would be in touch and she never called until I contacted her a few weeks later. That is when the 2nd call was logged, she stated that they needed to order a part. That took a couple months. When the Control Panel part came in and was replaced, it did NOT run at all when Donald left. Donald even told us at that time that he thought it was not repairable and would log it in as such and again and that someone would call us. Roxanne did contact us. I had left a few messages over a month with no calls back. When I did finally get in touch, she said that it was deemed another issue and that she would order parts. Waiting for the parts took several months. When I finally got a call that the parts came in. That is when Donald came out to replace the door latch (recently). However, Roxanne set up 6 appointments that Donald never showed up (i took off work each time to wait for him). Each no show, i was given reasons each time stating that either the parts never came in, the screws never came in (stated on 3 missed ?no shows?, Donald was on vacation and Roxanne didn?t know, and Roxanne was on vacation. This rescheduling took 2.5 months. It finally took a call to KA's customer support email to Apple for Lisa to get on board and help reschedule the appointment. When Donald finally came Donald even stated that the time it has taken to correct the issue having been so long is very possibly why the other issues had occurred. After Donald came out on August 4, Apple said they would contact KA for a response. I have yet to hear back from ANYONE from Apple or KA on the status. Honestly, I bought my KA dishwasher based on the reputation of the brand. given all the frustrations I?ve had to deal with re: KA/Whirlpool, I am at witt?s end and will never buy anything Whirlpool-related so i dont have to deal with KA or Apple. I have been without a dishwasher for 2/3 of the year now is absolutely frustrating.

Did they just break my Dishwasher to get more money? Not a good business model. We started with a Kitchenaid Dishwasher with a diverter arm that stopped spinning. It was still cleaning, but not as well. The technician came out, pulled the dishwasher out, tinkered with it a bit and put it back. We were charged $120 and told that we needed $715.31 in repairs (A Sump Motor assembly and controller board.) Actual repair needed - diverter motor $120. (Fairly common apparently...) We now have water pouring out of the dishwasher all over our floor. We started with a Dishwasher that worked, but not as well as when we bought it and now we have one that is flooding the kitchen and cannot be used. Thanks VIA! Great Work! Would you pay for a $715 repair of the wrong part from a company that charged you $120 to break your dishwasher worse? - Neither would I. I wouldn't let them into my house. I called VIA - they danced around with a standardized spiel and asked if I would like them to repair it - for $715? I asked them to have a manager call me back... Thanks for listening - oh and go somewhere else.

We had a problem with our 4 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher. It was not working property, leaving soap and food particles on the dishes. The tech came out and spent about 10 minutes looking over the dishwasher, and his diagnosis was that the motor needed to be replaced. The next day the estimate came back at around $350 for motor replacement. We wanted a second opinion, and called Lowes for service. They sent out someone (a subcontractor service company), who immediately said that the problem was that we were using too much soap, and the washer was clogged up with soap, causing the motor problem. He spent about 45 minutes taking apart the washer and cleaning it thouroughly, and giving suggestions for maintenance (using less soap and tablets to clean out the system one a month). It is now working fine. If we had gone with DAR's diagnosis, we would ahve spent hundreds of dollars on an unnecesasry motor replacement. I think that they need to train their techs better... I plan to go with Lowes associated technicians from now on, since they were 100% more professional and actually regognized the problem, instead of giving a superfical diagnosis that would have required an unnecessary expensive repair.
