Overall, the process was great. We scheduled an appointment for them to come measure our countertops and they arrived on time. After they measured, we went to their shop to look at some of the samples. We didn't see anything that we liked, so we went to a granite yard, which is one of their distributors where we found two styles that we liked. A few days later, Brumel called us with the estimates. I ordered a sink from a different company and it took a few days for that to come in. Once it did, Brumel was able to install our countertops in a couple days. After they left I realized that one section of the backsplash wasn't installed as I expected that it would be. But they came back out the next time that I had a day off. They fixed the backsplash then and there. The only difficulty that we had was due to the sink that I ordered. It's a Kohler cast iron undermount sink and apparently isn't installed in the same method that most undermount sinks are because it's so heavy. Before I ordered the sink I called Brumel to make sure that it wasn't going to be a problem and was told that it shouldn't be. When the sink finally came in, they ended up charging me a little extra because of the installation method. It wasn't a lot extra and I expected that I would be charged something, but I was a little surprised because I was told that the weight of a cast iron sink wouldn't necessarily make it more expensive to install. Either way, the original pricing included basic installation of an undermount sink so the extra charge wasn't very much. In the end, I do plan to go back to Brumel to redo our fireplace surround and bathroom countertops. I would say that this is a really easy contractor to work with, especially if you go with some of the standard sinks that they sell at wholesale pricing. Their cost was much better than other places that we looked at and they'll make sure that things are exactly the way that you want them to be.
