Also, they smoked on the premise (outside) and left a couple of cigarette butts in the driveway. I needed to be clear before hiring that I expect a smoke-free workplace and absolutely no cigarette butts left. Maybe because I used to do service work and had strict standards about communication and timeliness, and never would smoke on customer property I have high expectations beyond getting the job done. Not the cheapest in town but the work was in line with their price."

One wanted to power wash my fence (probably needed it), another did not even mention power washing or cleaning, and the third said he did not believe in putting water on wood - planned to dry scrub. So, in comparing prices, I will have to determine what I need."
