The curing time for stucco typically takes several weeks to fully complete. During the curing process, the stucco undergoes a chemical reaction and gradually hardens. It's important to note that curing is different from drying. While the surface of the stucco may dry relatively quickly within a few hours or days, the curing process continues beneath the surface, strengthening and solidifying the stucco. 

It's best to avoid excessive moisture exposure during the curing period, as it can impede the curing process. The exact curing time can vary based on factors such as temperature, humidity, and the specific stucco mixture used.

On average, EIFS costs more than traditional stucco, both due to its complex materials and tricky installation. You'll pay between $7 and $9 per square foot for traditional stucco installation and $8 to $14 per square foot for EIFS. Contact a local siding contractor to get an accurate estimate for EIFS or stucco installation based on your project specifications.

The time required to remove stucco siding depends on the size of the home, the thickness of the stucco, and the complexity of the project. Most projects take between two and seven days, but larger or multi-story homes may require more time, especially if repairs are needed after removal is complete.

One upside to stucco siding is that it can last for 50 to 80 years, and it’s reasonably low maintenance during that lifespan. However, you’ll need routine maintenance to keep it looking its best, as it will crack and chip as it ages. If you live in an area that sees heavier rainfall, sealing your stucco siding every five to 10 years may be necessary.

There are two ways to determine which renovation will add the most value to a house. One is based on money alone, and the other is based on the percentage of money spent versus money earned when selling the home. While these values vary, the best projects to add value based on percentages are exterior painting, replacing doors and windows, replacing the garage door, roofing replacement, and upgrading the siding.
