"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely call him again if we need any computer services."

He also made sure my door was on his next truck in. The two gentlemen that came to fix my door were professional and polite. They quickly fixed the door and left it better than before by oiling the springs and tracking to get rid of the awful screeching noise. They also took the time to explain what they were doing and what type of regular maintenance I should preform to get the longest life out of my doors and showed me how to reprogram the door in the event I decided to change my code. "Honest guy who does good work and is readily willing to make things right if he is not satisfied with his work. He had issues with putting in a deadbolt on a very tough steel door. He ended up offering to add a kick plate to fix the issue without charging me. Then I had him fix up two other deadbolts that where not installed very well by another locksmith. Now these locks work superbly. I would trust this contractor to do things right."

"We called Machen for an estimate to tear off our old roof on our house and detached garage. They were very responsive and Jodi even came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable regarding the materials and products we needed, and we were impressed that he actually climbed the roof to take all of the measurements, where other contractors we had contacted did not. The estimate we received was fair considering that the roof deck would need wrapped and the amount of ice guard we needed. Jodi and his team were on time every day and got right to work. They took their time on the job and were very conscientious about the work performed to ensure it was done correctly. Jodi takes a lot of pride in ensuring the job site remains neat and takes a lot of care to ensure they thoroughly clean up before leaving for the day. We ran into heavy rain halfway through the project and Jodi even came out on the weekend to ensure that the roof was water tight before the rain hit. The new roof looks great and we are very pleased with the end result!"
