Yes. Cellar spiders are predatory and feed on other insects, including other spiders. They eat flies, mosquitos, gnats, moths, and larger prey. That larger prey includes venomous spiders like the brown recluse and the black widow.  Basically, a cellar spider is pretty brave and will feed on anything that gets into its web, no matter the size.

Cold winter months won’t always kill off fleas completely. Your home is typically warm enough for fleas to survive or, at least, for the eggs to lay dormant, ready to hatch when warmer weather arrives. Plus, waiting for the winter isn’t a good idea. The infestation will continue to grow, and fleas carry pathogens that can harm humans and pets.

Scientists have found that the chemical traces a dying wasp releases can agitate nearby wasps and make them more aggressive. Simply place bleach or ammonia in a bucket and leave it outside day or night. Ironically, bears also dislike the smell of pine, so you can use pine oil or a pine-based cleaning agent. Avoid using cleaning products with fruit or citrus smells, however.

While taking a shower can help wash away fleas and their dirt from your body, it may not completely get rid of all of them. However, if you wash your clothes and bedding in hot water and dry them on the highest heat recommended for the fabric, it can further reduce the possibility of an infestation. However, even if just a few are left, they can reproduce and take over again, so it’s best to take additional measures and call a flea exterminator to ensure they’re gone for good.
