All gutters carry water away from your home, but only Leafguard does it with a unique, proprietary one-piece debris-shedding design that is better than any other gutter system on the market today. Leafguard gutters work on a simple but powerful scientific principle known as liquid adhesion. This allows rainwater to travel around the hood and into the gutter, while deflecting leaves and other debris to never clog.

"Mr Machen has impressive skill with both removing difficult 1930's steel windows and installing replacement windows. He does an excellent job wrapping the exterior of the window with metal, resulting in a beautiful finished look. He is quite compulsive with insulation and caulking as well. He removed all the old windows and debris and left a clean job site. Couldn't ask for better work.

"After four months of trying to find local people who wanted to do this job (and having no luck) I signed up with HA and got Gutter Expresses' name right away. The lady on the phone was charming and helpful, She gave an estimate right over the phone and the guys were out just two days later. They were up and down those ladders like squirrels and the work was done in amazingly short order. These are some good people."

"MGM replaced a lot of drywall in our basement, and replaced a vinyl plank floor, which had all been damaged by water. They came out quickly with an estimate and began the work even before it was promised. The cost was very fair, and the work quality very good. Polite, neat and hard working. We will hire them for our next job."

Small jobs welcome

"When I noticed my attic leaking I reached out to Appalachian Roofing and Gutter, and I'm very glad I did. The owner himself comes to every job to make sure it's done right and they are so professional! I honestly thought it was going to cost an arm and leg but then Jeramie (the owner) told me they offer financing which was crazy! Everything was just so smooth and fast and easy and if I could give them 1000 stars I would. They always answered when I called and if they didn't they called back within a few minutes. Definitely found the only company I'll do business with!!"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

When it comes to which gutter material is better, the choice really boils down to what you're looking for in a gutter system. If saving money is the most important factor, then your best option is to go for aluminum gutters. If longevity and durability are more important to you, then copper gutters could be the best fit. If you want to customize the color of your gutters, aluminum takes the cake, but if you're looking for a more natural appearance, copper might be a better choice.

If you are experiencing minor issues with your gutters, such as a small leak or cracks in one or two sections, it makes more sense to repair the issue than to replace your entire gutter system. However, you may need to replace your gutters if they’re frequently detaching from your home or if you notice a buildup of mold or mildew in your basement.

It’s technically possible to remove some soffit material without removing your gutters, but it’s usually a good idea to remove gutters, fascia, and soffit and then reinstall them in the opposite order. Replacing soffits without removing gutters is likely to leave you with a less professional and clean appearance, and you’re more likely to do damage to your gutters and fascia boards in the process.

One of the biggest causes of gutter leaks is clogged gutters. If your gutters are full of debris and leaves, water will back up and eventually overflow outside of the gutter. Other common causes of gutter leaks include loosened gutter fasteners, faulty gutter slopes (sagging gutters), separated joints, and cracks or holes.

The cost to repair copper gutters typically ranges from $200 to $1,500. The final price is determined by the severity of the damage, current material costs, labor rates, and whether any additional reinforcements are needed for the repair.
