"The ladies were great, they went straight to work and my rooms were cleaned and spotless. Only thing I would advise is removing shoes or having some type of shoe covering when entering and working the client’s home, nevertheless I do plan on working with them in the near future and I’ll recommend them to friends and family."

Range Hoods questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
