Yes, it’s okay to use a pressure washer to clear and clean your gutters. Be careful to avoid the outside of the gutters, as getting too close with the powerwasher can peel away the paint. Also, be careful to avoid causing any damage to seams that may be in the corners or along the length of the gutter.

If you want to replace your home's existing underground downspout, you have options. One is to connect a rain barrel to the downspout. During a storm, water travels from the downspout into the barrel. You can then use the water to irrigate your garden or lawn. 

Another option is to install a downspout extension above ground. The extension will direct water away from your home, but potentially not as far away as an underground system.

Rain gutters should be level from front to back to prevent spillage as water runs from one side to the other. Horizontally, rain gutters should not be level. A slope of at least a 1/4-inch per 10 feet is recommended from the high end of a gutter to the downspout.

While gutter guards offer significant advantages, they also have some drawbacks—namely, they don't completely eliminate the need for cleaning, and certain objects (like mold or large debris) can still damage your roof. If they're installed improperly, they can void the roof warranty, and heavy guards could even damage your roof fascia or roof material itself.
