I am a young business owner and brand new father! I have worked all over the construction industry from a young age and became a licensed plumber before I finished highschool. The name “One man” Freelancing was inspired by my service in the WV national guard where I still currently serve as the “one man” a term given to the cannon crewmember who loads and fires the artillery cannons. I have a broad range of knowledge and problem solving skills, if I don’t know how to do the job I will surely be able to learn and you will not be disappointed with results!

"JAS Cleaning service came into my home and done some basic cleaning. They went as far as moving things to dust, they pulled the furniture out and swept and mopped behind it. They also told me if I wanted my beds to be made to lay the sheets out on the bed and they would get to it. They are very respectful and very trustworthy. They are very dependable and they also give you a call the night before they come to remind you that you have a scheduled cleaning day. ABOSULTLY love their work."

Yes I am new business just getting started, with the research I have done, I am the only company in this area that offers furniture, carpet, hardwood, and tile floor cleaning and shampooing. I will beat all other prices of bigger companies that have to come from Beckley and do a better job. I will service residents and business there is no job too big because I can shampoo and steam it. All i look forward to serve the community I was raised in. Thank you in advance for your business and support.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of color options to consider when installing carpet in high-traffic areas (like entrances and stairways). Medium-toned colors and patterned carpets can work well in these parts of your home because dirt and stains can blend in easily. Dark carpets will also conceal marks and spills, but they show lint and other light-colored debris. Consider a medium brown or tan for your high-traffic areas. Either way, it’s best to avoid paler shades, like white and cream, which get dirty easily.

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.

Installing carpet padding is mostly a matter of measuring the room and cutting the carpet pad to size with a utility knife. You can save some money on carpet installation costs by doing it yourself. Before installing the carpet padding, you should install the tack strips around the room’s perimeter and prepare the subfloor by cleaning and making any necessary repairs. Then, unroll the carpet pad and cut sections as needed. Staple the carpet pad to the subfloor along the edges, leaving the tack strips exposed.

Carpeting lasts between 10 and 15 years in most cases, but keep an eye out for common signs that it's time to replace it. Persistent smells despite deep cleaning, faded color, worn-down carpet padding, and general wear and tear are signs that it's time to tear it up. If you are experiencing allergy issues indoors, this could also be a sign that new flooring is the key to a fresher home.

If you have a concrete subfloor, you must secure the carpet padding with adhesive or glue. However, if you have a wooden subfloor, use staples instead. Removing a glued-down carpet can be difficult and time-consuming, so it’s best to avoid glue when possible.
