Along the way he's served as an electrician's helper at Electric1 in Portage, lead numerous volunteer construction crews in building decks and remodeling damaged homes, served as Maintenance Foreman at Sky Lodge Christian Camp, and subcontracted for various remodels and repairs with Considine Handyman Services.
