"I told Ariel at our first meeting " If I am spending money like this I expect perfection". Ariel and his staff did just that and more. Always returned my phone calls, he kept me informed and up to date on the materials. We had some weather issues this year but that only delayed a few days. Once the weather cooperated , the guys were on it and had it all said and done in less than a week. We had our roof replaced and installed solar powered roof vents , new gutters and downspouts. We also needed a new patio door. Our house has a east(front) and west(back) setting and the kitchen is in the back so you can imagine try to keep the kitchen comfortable to cook in the warmer months and warm in the cooler months with the wicked northwest winds. We chose a sliding triple pane door. Ariel suggested we tint it to cut back on the sun rays. You can't even tell there is a tint until you open the door. If a door could be pretty, this works for us. This is no door you go buy all put together and pop in, Ariel had to assemble then install it. The door in completely trimmed and sealed to which we will probably never have to replace.
Our intent when we started this project was to do the better job with everything and Ariel understood that. We are so pleased with the work he has done , he will be the first one we call for the next project.

"My wife and I had Chris over to look at our backyard patio and go over options for awning coverage. He was knowledgable and friendly and answered all our questions. We absolutely love our new awning! It's a game changer and we're able to spend more time in our backyard now. I highly recommend calling if you are looking at any type of awning!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

A sunroom is worth installing on a deck, both for the value and your own enjoyment. A Florida room addition costs between $10,000 and $140,000, so it’s pretty expensive. However, a quality sunroom can offer a 50% return on investment, making your home more sellable. Plus, if it’s a space you and your family enjoy relaxing in daily for years to come, it’s worth the money, time, and effort, even without the added monetary value.

A screened-in porch can add value to your home, with a potential return on investment (ROI) of 70% to 84%. The actual value added depends heavily on several factors. Climate is a major consideration; homes in warm, humid, or buggy areas (like the Southern regions) see the highest ROI. In colder climates, the value is diminished as the unconditioned space is unusable for much of the year. Other factors that influence the return include the quality of materials and construction, the size of the porch, and the local real estate market. While a screened-in porch can enhance curb appeal and attract potential buyers, it is not included in the home's total square footage for appraisal purposes.

Yes, porches require foundations. The type of foundation required, however, is determined by the type and use of the porch. For example, a screened-in porch won’t require a new cement foundation. However, if you turn your porch into a sunroom or plan on making it a living space, then chances are you need a foundation that’s more permanent than piers and posts.

A lanai is a covered patio with open walls, while a Florida room has sides made of mesh screens or windows, with or without partial low walls. In addition, lanais often use concrete or other patio flooring, while Florida rooms may have more indoor-style flooring like tile or wood. Both allow you to enjoy the outdoors without being in the direct sun, but a lanai doesn’t offer any barrier against insects or debris.

While there is no one size that’s considered best, the sunroom size that’s best for you will come down to the size of your home and how you want to use your sunroom. Smaller sunrooms under 120 square feet provide a nice semi-outdoor sitting area, medium-sized sunrooms between 120 and 200 square feet can house an outdoor dining area and a small area for additional seating, and large sunrooms over 200 square feet can serve multiple purposes and even include an outdoor kitchen.
