"I had several contractors bid out to paint the exterior of my house. In the end, I decided to go with Colorfield Painting. A lot had to
do with Matthew taking the time to talk to me, get to know what I liked and my personality to help me pick out colors for the house. He was always professional, punctual, and efficient. Every night he cleaned up and didn’t leave his stuff lying around. All
the prep/cleanup work he said he would do on his quote he did. He did such a nice job that I then hired him to also paint my dining room. Once again, he took the time to look at my personality and my furniture/accessories to help me pick out colors for the room. With his help I have an awesome dining room.

"Mr. Sullivan brought an assistant and they cleaned our Appleton 2-story Victorian home's gutters and repaired a spot damaged by an ice dam in last year's severe winter. While it is possible to have risers up to 12 inches, this height can be challenging for children, pets, or individuals with mobility issues. For optimal safety and comfort, pair a seven-inch riser with a tread depth (or run) of at least 10 to 12 inches. Always check your local building codes, as they may have specific requirements that differ from these general recommendations.

To flatten a cupped deck board, start by ensuring it’s dry. Then, try flipping the board over so the cupped side faces down and reattach it. If that’s not possible, you can use screws to pull it tighter to the joists or plane the edges slightly to reduce the cup. It’s best to replace severely cupped boards.

Always sand a deck before repainting so the wood is smooth and ready for paint. While you do not need to fully remove paint before repainting, sanding helps remove any areas with weather and sun damage.
