"My furnace quit during single digit temps. I talked to the owner at 9:00 am and he was at my house to give me an estimate before 10 am (the morning after a snow storm). My new furnace was up and running before noon the very next day. The techs were great - knowledgeable, courteous and even wiped up water the spots their boots left on my floor! I highly recommend JB Mechanical!"

"It was ok. Very friendly. This was my first time using a cleaning service. Maybe my expectations are too high. ? Downstairs floor still had dirt and baseboard behind toilet. I do not think vanity wood was cleaned. Upstairs shower walls, I still saw dark grime, some baseboard dirt. Other wise it was cleaner. I appreciate their effort, again VERY nice ladies. Thank you."

"Chris did an excellent job! My wood deck had 3 old layers of stain and it took longer than expected but Chris was able to successfully remove all of the old stain. During the project Chris found 4 deck boards and 2 rail spindles needed replacing and he helped us out greatly by replacing them at an additional cost after talking to us to save me the time of doing it. The deck was stripped, sealed & re-stained. It looks terrific. Great Job! Chris also talked to us about the mold on our siding and how he can help get that clean too so next year we will have him back to help with the exterior mold removal from the house. Thanks Chris and Keep up the Great Work!"

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you wish to forego painting your shingles but still want to give them a fresh look, a deep cleaning is the first step. Clean off any debris from your roof and gutters, and then power wash your shingles to get grime and algae off. To take things one step further, you might even consider installing new gutters to give your home a bright new look.

Leaving a significant amount of snow on your roof can be risky. Most roofs are designed to handle about 20 pounds per square foot of snow, but exceeding this limit can lead to a roof collapse. A collapse can cause severe damage to your home and belongings and poses a physical danger to anyone inside. Furthermore, heavy snow accumulation increases the risk of ice dams, which can cause leaks and water damage to your roof, attic, and interior walls.

You may become so frustrated with the look of moss on your roof that you contemplate whether to clean or replace your roof. Fortunately, you don’t have to go as far as replacing it. After cleaning the moss, you can use a chemical solution to keep it away. For further protection, trim branches that overhang the roof, as fallen seed pods and leaves on the roof allow moisture to collect, encouraging moss growth. Consider adding zinc-coated flashing to the roof, too. As rain washes across the zinc, it leaves zinc particles behind that inhibit moss growth.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Yes, many services include cleaning as part of the repair process. Confirm with your provider.
