Customers say: Quick response

"She was extremely responsive and fabulous! She answered all of our questions and gave us the exact feedback we were looking for to match our house with flowing paint colors. She quickly submitted and sent samples and even got back to me when I had a question and was at the hardware store. I would highly recommend them and will use them again for future projects! Canâ t wait to do the project now so that we can show her the results!"

"The project went well. Chris and his Son were polite and did a good job. Under the cold conditions they were able to provide a high quality product. The work they did in my garage looks amazing. They were also able to touch up my existing drywall and re-texture and paint to make the whole garage seamless. There were a few minor cracks to the seams that showed up. Chris is going to wait until the weather warms up to come back and take care of them. I'm confident this will be resolved and he was more than willing to address and take care of it. I'll post an update once the work is done. I also had them paint some exposed wood around my garage door. They did a very nice job and I'm thrilled with the work."

"Our living room had very old wallpaper that my husband attempted to remove himself. After discovering how difficult and time consuming it was going to be, we called Majic Painting. They were very responsive about giving an estimate and quick about scheduling the work. Mark was very professional and friendly and did the work quickly without leaving a mess. It was definitely worth the price we paid. I would use them again.

"Quin's painters did an EXCELLENT job! They arrived every morning cheerful and ready to work. The crew of two guys were very easy to talk to and went out of their way to make sure the ladders were not interfering with our daily activities. The guys really did take pride in their work. Quin did stop by to check out the project in process and after the work was complete to make sure we were satisfied. Quin's crew is truly superior (in many ways) to other painting contractors I have used previously. There was a day one of the guys had to leave early for a sporting event with his son, so we were notified in the morning they would be leaving a few hours early. I have never had a contractor give me a heads up before on a change of working hours. The crew even asked if they could throw some of the random trash accumulated from the job in our trash bins at the curb. I have never had a contractor ask previously, they have always just taken it upon themselves to add trash to the bin. Quin really does hire PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES WHO TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORKMANSHIP! I could not recommend them enough to other friends and neighbors."

"Our roof is 20 years old and showing some staining and a few edges curling but otherwise not leaking a pretty solid. Ben was honest with us and said we could get some good years out of the roof, yet. We had him do some minor gutter. He worked right alongside his crew and made sure they did thorough work.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Both paint and wallpaper can work in a bathroom, provided you choose high-quality products in either category. Washable vinyl wallpapers can stand up to bathroom humidity without peeling, as can semi-gloss or gloss paint finishes. However, if you’re someone who likes to redecorate often, paint may make it easier to change colors or designs more quickly. If you want full humidity protection and cleanability, tile or stone works better.

Accent walls can feel out of place or distracting if not well designed. Accent walls that don’t fit in with a room’s style can feel jarring or overpowering. Some accent wall styles can also feel dated, but fortunately, it’s easier to update a single wall than an entire room.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.

Hanging wallpaper may seem simple, but in practice it requires significant planning and finesse to make it look professional. To start, you need to get an even application of wallpaper paste across all of your wallpaper, which requires experience and large pasting tables to get right. You also need to plan out your design and match it exactly so that you don’t have imperfections in the finished product. It’s often better to hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can get the job done properly for a clean, smooth finish.
