The erecting sub-contractor, on the other hand, was not fun to deal with. On a sunroom, these are the guys who spend most of the man-hours on site. The foreman was poor on communicating with us and failed to show up when we were expecting them. My wife and I took vacation days to be home, when nobody showed up. There were no apologies, just excuses. To be fair, they did a quality job when they finally finished. On the night of the 18th, we had a torrential downpour, and there were no leaks, and the room is wonderful.
Again, excellent quality, poor communication and punctuality for that one prime sub-contractor. Sunroom Design Group and the other two subs are all good. But I have to hold SDG accountable for the performance of the erecting crew. Remember, there are two or more sides to every situation. This is how we, as the customers, experienced it. It probably looks a little different to the contractors. Batnzer offered the most thorough and specific information. Ed the technician arrived on time and was professional the whole time. He was very thorough. He sed mesh covers over all the areas where mice were believed to have come in, and then placed at least a dozen bait traps around the house. He sprayed the area for insects (we were most concerned about wasps). He listened to and addressed all our concerned, even providing information about the chenical make-up of all the products he used. In addition to being good at his job, he was also very friendly, which is always nice. We paid for a year of service, about $500. $99 for the initial call and another $31 per month. This includes four quarterly visits and additional visits at any time we wish to address specific issues. If this firm can the mice and wasps away, the price is more than worth it to us.

UPDATE: I did not drive 75 miles to have my dogs bathed. I drove 45 miles to take my very ill dog, Bella, to the Veterinarian that she had seen all her life, even before my move away from the area. Joon was not ill, and was not scheduled to see the Vet. Joon was not fragile, she was a normal dog. Joon was not frail, and I did not give special instructions to Leila, the owner and groomer, concerning any frailty of Joon?s. I did, as always, give special instructions to Leila concerning the frailty of my other dog, Bella. Leila decidedly did NOT express any ?concern about Joon?s frailty and appearance?, that is, sadly, a complete untruth. I brought both dogs, not because I couldn?t leave Joon home alone (as she is fine home alone? it is Bella who cries when she is left alone with Joon), but because, as long as I was taking Bella to the Vet a few blocks from the grooming salon, I thought I would have them both bathed at Tails a Waggin.
As for bringing them ?both? on one leash?, the dogs had the same leash as I?d used for years? which was two leashes, one for each dog, and a lead that swivels to attach to both leashes so one can walk two dogs without tangling leashes.
Leila did not ask me to return to the salon in an hour. She told me to return in ?two hours?, as she always had. I told her that Bella was at the Vet, and I had errands to run, so it may be longer, and Leila told me, as always, that Joon would be fine in her ?comfort crate? after her bath. Her bath would occur at the time scheduled, when I dropped her off, as always, and she would sleep in the crate (as many dogs sleep in crates while their owners are away) until I returned? as always. I returned in 3 hours to pick Joon up.
Joon was not disoriented or unable to know where she was. If in fact, that had occurred after I left and prior to her bath, Leila should have called a Veterinarian out of concern for her. I don?t believe that it occurred at all, as that is not what Leila told me had happened upon my return. Upon my return, Joon did walk out to me from the back of the salon? and I expressed deep concern immediately. Joon was walking with the top of her back up, and the bottom of her back flat down, as if there was a hill on the back of her spine and a drop-off to the bottom of her spine. She was shaking terribly, and looked distressed. I asked Leila what happened to her, and she didn?t tell me until I had kneeled down to comfort Joon and asked Leila numerous times what had happened. At first, she tried to say that Joon must be ?stiff? from being in the ?comfort crate? for so long. Eventually, she said, ?I feel bad? she tried to jump out of the bathtub?, then she showed me how Joon had tried to jump out of the bathtub.
There were NO customers in the grooming salon at the time that I picked Joon up. The ONLY person in the salon was a salesman for Canine/Animal Glucosamine/Chondroitin, (from whom Leila routinely purchases) who kept trying to sell it to me because he thought that Joon suffered from some severe ailment. Leila even told him in the salon not to sell it to me while she took her order from him. There were no others in the salon.
I took Joon out to my car and she kept sitting down on the grass by the side of the sidewalk, not wanting to get up. The salesman followed me out of the grooming salon and kept trying to tell me that buying this Canine Supplement would be good for Joon. I believe he truly was trying to help, but I really couldn?t talk to him, because my attention was fully on Joon, who was clearly struggling. I did manage to get her into my car, and drove directly to the Vet with her, although she was not scheduled to see the Vet. I couldn?t get her out of the car, and she could not get out on her own, so I had to go inside to tell them that it was an emergency and my dog could not walk and I needed help to get her inside.
Veterinary staff brought Joon in, and the Vet diagnosed her with a ?severe lumbar spinal injury?. As time progressed at the Vet?s office, over a period of a few hours, Joon lost all ability to stand up. The lump on her spine kept getting larger, until, at the time that she was put to sleep in unconscionable pain, it was the size of a grapefruit. I did not ?proceed 75 miles home with Joon?, as Tails A Waggin?s attorney asserts? I left her, lifeless, at the Veterinary Clinic. And, I called Tails A Waggin that same evening and, crying, left a message for Leila that she was injured so badly that she needed to be put to sleep, that she was dead. Leila knows very well that I did not take Joon home with me. It was not icy on the sidewalk or streets when I left Tails A Waggin with Joon, and she did not ?slip? on anything. I did not ?brake hard? and cause injury to Joon on the way home, since Joon did not come home to me. Her last trip in my car was a few blocks up the street from Tails A Waggin, to the Veterinary Clinic. Leila did indeed discuss what had happened to Joon at Tails A Waggin with the Vet who contacted her, there is no questioning that. She told the Vet that she ?felt bad about it but didn?t know what to do?. The Vet who called Leila did not tell Leila that ?she had to put both Bella and Joon down?, since the Vet who called Leila was our local Vet, NOT the one up the street from Tails A Waggin who put Joon to sleep. Not the same clinic, not the same Vet. What Leila is here claiming about that conversation is yet another fabrication.
As for the two letters that I sent to Tails A Waggin concerning Joon?s passing being ?filled with multiple discrepancies?, I here attach both letters, which decidedly do NOT contain any discrepancies.

Dear Leila,
I have received your sympathy card, and of course, this is considerate of you to send.
Joon died because her back was broken during her last grooming with you. I took her immediately to the vet and had to have her put to sleep. Her last hours of her life were spent in immense pain, in agony. She had a lump larger than a grapefruit on her spine. Both of the veterinary offices that served Joon as a patient are in agreement that it would have been impossible for her to have completely broken her own spine by trying to jump out of the bathtub at grooming. You must accept responsibility over this, and I believe that one of the veterinarians has already contacted you in this regard. I?m a good person, and I?m not saying that you are a bad person, but you must accept responsibility for what happened to Joon during grooming. As of now, I am trying not be litigious, or to post reviews about your grooming salon. I would like you to pay for the final costs of Joon?s veterinary care, which are $550. In addition, I would like you to pay a small amount of pain and suffering, mine? but also Joon?s excruciating last hours. This would be an additional $450, totaling $1000. If you agree to this, and send this payment to cover these costs, I will sign off on any legal follow-up. You have my address, and I will look to see your response within the next two weeks. Sincerely, CB Fettig CB Fettig

"Took a full year from when we put the deposit down for a new liner, to get installed! They came out over 10 times measuring and re-measuring. Finally I sent my measurements directly to Merlin and I also was the one who approved there prints. so that they could start making it. Gary said ?they will have the liner in 5 days and install on the next day. 2 weeks later he finally installs the liner and explains to me that Merlin requires a new way of measuring and that is why he was having an issue (it was a standard tape measure). Gary through out the summer had multiple excuses as to why various things weren?t going as planned. He had 1 employee quit, the replacement got first, and hire two young guys (in which 1 quit). Now he is heading back home, the Philippines and doesn?t plan on coming back. The one guy that stayed is going to buy the business over payments (no experience, except the last 3 months). BEWARE!"

FAQs for patio cover service projects in North Fond Du Lac, WI
While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost of an awning is $1,400 to $4,400 on average. However, this cost could be as low as $100 or as high as $7,500, depending on a few factors. The type of awning you choose, the size you need, and your location all affect your overall cost.
For example, portable awnings you can put up and take down yourself range from $100 to $400, whereas motorized awnings are more luxurious and cost between $2,000 and $3,500.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.
Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.
Besides the type of awning, you’ll need to choose the type of cover. Your awning installation professional will review your options with you, including availability and costs. The types of covers you can choose from include:
Wood, which is durable but can be damaged easily by rainwater and fire
Cotton offers flexibility, weatherproofing, and easy cleaning
Canvas is highly durable and is a good choice for retractable awnings
Metal is sturdy but is prone to rust
Polyester is easy to clean and is a more breathable option
Polycarbonate is highly resistant to UV rays and is difficult to damage
