"THE WORK WAS EXPERTLY DONE. I HAD AN OLD BACKYARD RESTORED WITH NEW TOPSOIL AND NEW SOD LAID DOWN AND A FRENCH DRAIN INSTALLED. THE OWNER BRYSON KITTO WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND GAVE ME A REASONABLE AND ACCURATE ESTIMATE. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER AND VERY PROFESSIONALLY DONE BY HIS CREW AND HIMSELF. I WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE HIS COMPANY BACK AGAIN IF I SHOULD EVER NEED ANOTHER PROJECT DONE AGAIN AND WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND HIS COMPANY"

"AMAZING From the time I made the phone call, for an estimate, to the time the move was made All kept us informed of everything they were doing or going to do including wearing booties while in the houses. "Blue Hills roofing is the ONLY Platinum Preferred Contractor for Owens Corning in the Eau Claire, WI  area & was recommended by the Owens Corning regional representative to CHECK the work/errors of the original installer & to verify the warranty conditions were followed by the original contractor. Sorry to say that the original contractor I picked was only a Preferred Contractor for Owens Corning & made numerous quality errors that resulted in leaks!
My original plea for help was immediatelly answered by Blue Hills Roofing & an appointment to check my roof was performed by Anthony in quick order. After showing Anthony my roof issues, they promptly provided an estimate for the rework needed to correct the errors of the original roofer. The date they provided for the rework was very satisfactory and they were prompt & professional & met the projected dates. Oh..and now is the first time since August 2014 that my roof is not leaking!!
They provided photographic evidence of the errors the original contractor's team had made and provided a detailed written report listing all the errors they uncovered as they repaired my roof. The original roofing contractor failed to detect a rotted deck board and put ice guard over a hole the size of an orange in my roof along with numerous nail punctures.
The install team &  staff of Blue Hills Roofing gave confidence for my wife & I that our roof was CORRECTED to the standards that Owening Cornings requires to meet their warranty requirements.
One of my previous lives was as a Quality Professional at Mayo Clinic & I was plesantly surprised when I was called by the owner/president of Blue Hills Roofing to provide feedback on the work his company had done. In the Quality trade this is called the 'Voice of The Customer'!
My wife & I have given permission for Blue Hills Roofing to use us as a reference if they so desire!! I still have there signin my fornt yard!

"Customer service was top notch- we started with a 4 acre wooded lot and we had started clearing it ourselves and had many stumps and some more trees to take down. They gave an estimate via photos and email since job site was over an hour away which worked great. Worked til job was finished and did so in a timely manner. We also added clearing a new driveway after the fact and did amazing job. Great communication - would definitely hire again and give referral. Photos are Before and afters."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

DIY landscaping is possible, but professional services offer expertise in selecting appropriate plants and designing functional spaces that complement the natural environment and adhere to local regulations.

Yes, you can hydroseed with a garden hose, but you’ll need a tank or other large vessel for mixing the slurry, then a pump to send the slurry through the hose for spraying. Making your own hydroseeding unit can work, but it’s not usually worth the effort and supplies unless you already have them.

As with anything you do near your foundation, you’ll want to ensure proper drainage when you plant your foundation beds. Your drainage should run downhill from the highest point against your foundation to avoid water intrusion and incurring expensive foundation repair costs.

Yes, you can absolutely transplant bushes instead of removing them completely. The success depends on the size of the bushes, their age, and the transplanting season. Ideally, transplant during the dormant season (late fall or winter). Dig out the entire root system in one piece, fill the new hole with fresh soil and mulch, and water thoroughly after planting.

It’s usually best to buy plants from a local greenhouse or nursery yourself, but landscapers are also a reliable option. First, you can choose exactly what plants you want based on their appearance rather than relying on your landscaper to choose. Additionally, while it’s more time-consuming to go buy the plants yourself, you’ll often save money because landscapers charge for delivery and may upcharge the plants. You can also speak to a professional at a nursery to ensure you understand how to care for your plants and get the most long-term value.
