"Only time will tell about the quality and that will tell us whether or not the money was well spent. I will add that the warranty did help us to decide who to go with. The service was very good with the cleanup as well as the office customer service."

"Mat did a wonderful job at laying out the system and installing it according to his design. He was on time and on budget. We had bids from another installer and Mat was right there on price and actually included a few things that were not on the other bid. I would not hesitate to have him do more work for me as he is as honest and sincere as they come. Glenn Griswold"

"HBC completed a re-siding of an existing shed. There was excellent communication from Cain of HBC. He contacted me soon after I placed my work request on Angie's. He was out to review the job within a few days, and I had a written estimate the next day. Work on our shed started the next week. Cal would text to let me know the arrival time of the crew. The HBC crew worked throughout 2 days to complete the job. The job site was cleaned up before they left. The shed looks great!"

"Quite messy with their tools left all over the place. Other rooms were not sealed off to protect from sawdust mess. Much of the tape I purchased for painting projects was used to put plastic on kitchen cabinets. Was told the new base trim would be 4 1/2" high, and it is actually under 3" - should have gotten every detail in writing. There is stain on painted trim that was not replaced, had poly drips on my counter tops, caulk was smeared on new floors and not cleaned properly. Bottom line, we're very pleased with our new floors, but the finishing work left much to be desired. Just a couple more hours of his time and more attention to detail and we would have been very happy clients."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

To keep your toilet from clogging, you can use less toilet paper. You can also use a liquid toilet plunger to break up any clogs and keep the toilet drain and pipes clear. When it comes to a clogged toilet, the best route is prevention by using less toilet paper and making sure the mechanisms are all working properly.

Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. However, your drain cleaning pro might not be able to give you a firm time estimate until inspecting the clog and its surrounding plumbing.

A bit of water in the bowl can help unclog a toilet, especially if you're using a plunger. However, if the bowl is full to the brim, you'll need to strap on gloves and remove some of the wastewater in a cup or container so it doesn't overflow when you try to unblock the pipe. If you're concerned about it filling further, manually close the flapper in the toilet tank or turn off the water supply to the toilet.

Even if the shower drain doesn’t seem clogged or dirty, plan to clean it out about once per month—or more frequently if you or your family shed a lot of hair. It’s a good practice to remove any hair from the drain on a daily basis, as hair can accumulate fast and cause clogs in no time. You may also want to have a plumber thoroughly clean the drains in your home once every six months.

This depends on the location of the blockage. If the blockage is in your home’s system, anywhere in the system, it is your responsibility as a homeowner. Blockages seldom happen because of items or buildup coming from the city, which means it originates in the home. It becomes the city’s responsibility at the exact point your home’s line distributes waste into the city’s system. The exception is if the problem in your home damages the city lines.
