"Only time will tell about the quality and that will tell us whether or not the money was well spent. I will add that the warranty did help us to decide who to go with. The service was very good with the cleanup as well as the office customer service."

"Mat did a wonderful job at laying out the system and installing it according to his design. He was on time and on budget. We had bids from another installer and Mat was right there on price and actually included a few things that were not on the other bid. I would not hesitate to have him do more work for me as he is as honest and sincere as they come. Glenn Griswold"

"HBC completed a re-siding of an existing shed. There was excellent communication from Cain of HBC. He contacted me soon after I placed my work request on Angie's. He was out to review the job within a few days, and I had a written estimate the next day. Work on our shed started the next week. Cal would text to let me know the arrival time of the crew. The HBC crew worked throughout 2 days to complete the job. The job site was cleaned up before they left. The shed looks great!"

"Knight Flooring spent the design and planning time with us up-front to make sure we were happy before work started. We selected all major design elements, materials, fixtures and colors. Ryan took us to the wholesaler's showroom to view all the potential finish choices. THE QUOTE The agreed upon quote was fair and there were no surprises or up-charges. We pre-paid materials costs and paid the balance at the completion of the job. THE PERFORMANCE The job timeline was delivered exactly as promised. The crew cleaned-up after themselves every day. There was a minimum of inconvenience, because the job was phased to allow access one or the other bathroom at all times so we never had to move-out or work around them. They were polite, respectful and throughout the project. MASTER BATH DESIGN and BUILD Glass block designer shower, new granite counters and under-hung sinks with all new fixtures, new tile floors and wall tiles to 4 feet. Ryan did all the carpentry, tile and painting himself and arranged a licensed plumber for new pipes and fixtures. The results are even better than we visualized. The terrazzo chip shower floor is a piece of art. GUEST BATH TILE and PAINT Beautiful new ceramic tile replaced old tub surround, and tile theme carried through the floor. Nice designer accents throughout. OVERALL SATISFACTION We are delighted with delivery and finished product. FOLLOW-UP Ryan returned to replace a cracked tile that appeared a month after work was completed - no charge!"

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

You should inspect and clean your French drain at least once per year to keep it in good working order. Regular maintenance can help identify clogs, buildup, and damage before they become bigger problems, which increases the lifespan of your drain. The frequency with which a drain clogs can depend on factors like the amount of debris, the quality of the installation, and the type of filter used. If your drain accumulates a lot of sediment, it may require more frequent cleaning. It's also a good practice to check the access and exit points after heavy storms. If you notice reduced drainage or any signs of a clog, clean the drain as soon as possible.

While you don’t have to run out and immediately buy a new toilet at the first sign of a clog, if the toilet keeps clogging because it’s a low-flow or poorly designed model, a new toilet may be the way to go. If your toilet keeps clogging, you can try using less toilet paper, adjusting the fill valve, checking the toilet vent pipe on the roof, and using a toilet auger to make sure nothing is stuck in the pipe or trap.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.

To unclog a plumbing vent, you first need to locate it. Look at your home's roofline. The plumbing vent will be a vertical pipe sticking straight up from the roof. Since this pipe runs all the way to the main drain underneath your house, you should also be able to find it in the attic.

It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house). Your city is responsible for any clogs or damage to the main line itself.
