"We received an estimate and signed the contract. They were very busy and came about 3 wks later. We had a small tree taken down, a stump ground out and big branches that hung over our home taken down. There were 4-5 workers and they all had a specific job. They brought in a boom to cut the high branches. Everything went like clockwork. They had a small bobcat with tracks and put a canvas on the lawn for the bobcat to work on. There were no marks on the lawn! When they finished, they raked everything up and then used a blower to clean up the rest of the residue. The entire project took about an hr. They were very fast and professionals! They are definitely our new tree service."

"I've been purchasing mulch and stone from Oberstadt Landscaping for 12+years and they have always been very responsive and timely on delivery. This summer, we had a rush project due to an event in our neighborhood. Grant sent a crew within days of us accepting his quote. Of the (3) quotes, he was the most through and was able to walk us through how everything would look/layout while keeping our visions and "ideas" part of it as this was a fairly extensive project. The new retaining wall, patio, shrubs, tree and woodchips look great! Done quickly and came in under the quoted amount! If there was downtime between material or equipment deliveries, they even cleaned up after the other subcontractors that had made a made a mess in other parts of our yard! Very professional, detailed crew. These guys kickass!"

"Gave an estimate on a Saturday and they were here the following Thursday. Professional service and excellent communication. Did a great job on the trees we wanted down and the trees we wanted trimmed. Cleanup was very thorough. Highly recommend!"

"Parker's was reasonably priced and lower than the others contacted. They did a great job and left the yard relatively clean. They do use a crane to complete the job vs climbing. Overall I thought they did a great job and would be happy to use them again."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Some trees, such as silver maples, birches, sycamores, and scotch pines, shed their bark naturally. If your tree is not one that does this, it might have fallen prey to pests, fungi, or diseases. It could also simply be suffering from an extreme weather change, such as a snowstorm or heat wave. If you’re still stumped, consulting with a pro can help you diagnose your tree’s specific problem.

If a tree stump is removed properly, the chances of a tree growing back are low. However, if a tree has a robust root system, roots can sometimes sprout and someday grow into a tree. The chance of regrowth will depend on several factors such as the type of tree, soil quality, and strength of the root system. In general, it is not recommended to plant a tree where a stump was removed.

Homeowners are usually not responsible for trees that fall on power lines. Power companies usually have utility easements around power lines, which give them the responsibility to maintain any trees within about 15 to 20 feet of the lines.

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.
