The good news is most keyless locks include a low battery indicator so you can receive ample warning if your battery is about to die.

The key copier will review your current key to decide on the correct blank. Then, your original key and the blank are inserted into a key duplication machine to cut an exact key copy. When it’s all said and done, you can have a new key in your hand in just a couple of minutes.

A deadbolt lock is typically considered more secure than a regular lock based on its internal construction. Each deadbolt type has varying levels of security, ranging from withstanding a small amount of force to those that can take on multiple strikes and greater force. Regular locks provide little to no security and are typically used more for easy entry and simple installation.

Rekeying your own locks is a low-cost task that prevents you from having to replace the locks themselves completely. The first couple of times you rekey a lock may be challenging because this is an intermediate DIY task.
