We can help make your dream a reality through painting of walls and ceilings, to trim and cabinetry. We also do exterior painting of houses, barns, metal roofs, and more! Over the cooler months, we offer painting of furniture, such as dressers and tables. Along with painting we also do interior and exterior cleaning, which can be on a biweekly/monthly schedule, spring/fall deep cleaning, one time cleaning, and post construction clean up. No, removing the toilet isn't the only way to paint every square inch of your bathroom. Using a thin roller, paintbrush, or paint pad can enable you to apply a new color within the tight squeeze between the toilet tank and the wall. You can apply stain over peeling stain, but it’s not a good idea. Your old stain will get in the way of your new stain bonding to the wood, so you’re likely going to see the same issue again shortly after application. Your best option is to sand off the old stain and clean the surface thoroughly before applying new stain.

Your painter should also conduct a home assessment to provide an accurate quote, a painting schedule, and a walkthrough once the job is complete.

The short answer is yes, it’s more expensive. This is because chalk paint is a more complicated blend of materials and is harder and more costly to produce. The average cost per quart is around $35 to $50. Comparing that with regular paint, which runs between $9 and $25 per quart, you can see how chalk paint costs add up. The good news is that you will apply fewer coats.  

Sometimes you can get away with simply sanding and painting over small areas of peeling paint. However, the problem will likely return quickly, and the ridge between old and new paint will be visible. If you just need a quick fix and won't worry about appearance, chip away the peeling paint as much as possible, prime and paint the area, and skip the spackle step.
