"I hired Culver's Painting for wallpaper removal and application of new wallpaper and they did a great job! On the wallpaper removal, they did a nice job of prepping the walls for the new wallpaper and repairing areas that needed it. On the wallpaper installation, she was awesome - professional, courteous, and a quality end product. I will absolutely hire Culver's again for wallpaper projects and for painting projects."

"Start to finish everything went smoothly.
Accomodated my work schedule.
Estimate was in writing delivered via e-mail.
Came with a crew and did 2 coats it in 2 days, other estimates said at least a week.
Time was important to me.
I am very pleased start to finish and would highly recommend Al and her team at Majic painting.

"The owner promised, I would be happy with the job, and they went beyond what I had in mind. Matched the walls perfectly, and spent a lot of time removing all left over scrap and cleaning up. Paid them extra because the work was so impressive. They work very well with us."

"For the price, Richmond did a good job.  My only complaint would have been that they didn't remove the shutters prior to power washing, but the technician explained they didn't do that, rather they sprayed behind the shutters.  That is the reason for the B rating.  Otherwise, they did an excellent job for the price.  We have a lot of landscaping and they were unable to power wash close to the base of the house; however, they cleaned most of the algae off the siding.  Again, for the money it was a good job based on what we paid.

"I am from out of state and wanted to hire someone to paint the cathedral ceiling in my father-in-laws house. I called a couple painters and Quin was the first to call me back. He was professional in how he treated my father in-law and me and his pricing was fair. He showed up and completed the job as scheduled. The job turned out well. I would highly recommend Quin."

"The painters arrived on time. There were some restrictions that I was not aware of/ you could only use one color, no second coats. A color that we used did not look good without a second coat, so the room looks unfinished."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

You’ll need to wash the walls to remove wallpaper adhesive residue after removal as part of the prep process for painting or rehanging wallpaper. Old adhesive can cause texture issues and prevent paint or wallpaper from adhering properly to the wall’s surface.

White walls are considered a classic and timeless look and will most likely always be in style. A white wall easily blends into any type of home decor style which makes it a suitable option for most homeowners. Another appealing quality about white walls is that if it's not a color someone is going for, the color is easy to paint over.

If you can already see the texture of the existing wallpaper through the layer of paint, then the texture could also come through the new layer of wallpaper. If that’s the aesthetic you want, then proceed. But if you want a smoother surface, you should either strip off the existing paint and wallpaper or hang a layer of liner paper before proceeding.

While many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, they may not adhere as well in humid environments as traditional wallpaper. For best results, choose a vinyl or polyester-based wallpaper, as these materials are more durable and water-resistant. Good ventilation is also crucial to reduce humidity from steamy showers. In bathrooms with high moisture and inadequate ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Think hard before deciding to German schmear your home’s exterior brickwork. If you do not like the look, you are pretty much stuck with it, as it is impossible to remove this finish the way you can remove paint. You risk damaging the underlying brick if you have to chisel and acid-wash it away. It will also take a very long time, and remnants of the mortar wash will always remain.
