"Scott and his crew did amazing work. It was a large project involving removal of a collapsing retaining wall and replacing it with a two tier boulder wall. The work was completed in less than a week and looks spectacular. I highly recommend Lake Area Landscaping."

"The guys were prompt, efficient, and polite. They did a good job and explained things well. It would have been helpful if the office explained ahead of time that they needed to access all returns and supply vents . I had to rush around and clear the areas. Also tell the homeowner if they have pets to plan a quiet room to keep them in. My cats were scared by the noise."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Land surveys don’t technically expire. They do serve as a point of reference and a snapshot of your property, though, so as soon as you make changes to your property (and even if your neighbor makes certain changes to theirs), your existing land survey becomes inaccurate, and a new one must be done. Even if you don’t make any changes to your property, many states only guarantee the accuracy of a land survey for five to ten years.

A land survey includes the layout of a single property, including precise measurements and to-scale drawings of boundary lines, land improvements, and sometimes other features, like topography and drainage information. A plat map includes the layouts and boundary lines of several adjacent plots and basic structure measurements. Surveys are normally more valuable for homeowners and buyers, and plat maps are for governmental use.

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

You should always calculate real estate development costs on a case-by-case basis, so there’s no specific formula to estimate your total. You should speak with a local construction manager to see what you’ll need to do in terms of clearing and leveling the land, connecting utilities, and pulling permits for construction. A professional will be able to get you an accurate estimate for land development.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.
