"We had Dog Guard install an electric fence for our puppy. They were great to work with! They helped us train our dog and followed up to make sure our puppy was doing well with her training. Skunks spray as a defense mechanism to ward off predators. The active ingredient in their sulfurous, oily musk is n-butyl mercaptan, which evaporates into a powerful and smelly gas.
