"The team removed my wallpaper, sand primer, then painted my walls in two colors. They did a fabulous job, much bigger than I expected. They were totally professional, put up all the fixtures that had to be taken down, and cleaned up everything perfectly. I am a totally satisfied customer!"

Customers say: Quick response

"We remodeled much of our home. Amy designed the living room, dining room, family room and bedroom to office conversion. She hired flooring contractors, painters, carpenters/cabinet makers, and purchased furniture and window treatments. The design of our home is outstanding, the work done by the contractors is amazing, and we love our new furniture. Amy has impeccable taste, and a wonderful eye for color selection. She also works hard to keep within a budget. Amy has my highest recommendation; I would hire her again in a heartbeat."

"The project went well. Chris and his Son were polite and did a good job. Under the cold conditions they were able to provide a high quality product. The work they did in my garage looks amazing. They were also able to touch up my existing drywall and re-texture and paint to make the whole garage seamless. There were a few minor cracks to the seams that showed up. Chris is going to wait until the weather warms up to come back and take care of them. I'm confident this will be resolved and he was more than willing to address and take care of it. I'll post an update once the work is done. I also had them paint some exposed wood around my garage door. They did a very nice job and I'm thrilled with the work."

"It went 'just ok.'
This was an Angies special - two painters for one day...basically 16 person-hours of work.
I have painted cedar trim around windows, chimney, garage door and porch columns.

We agreed that the two would get as far as possible in the one day (2 people x 8 hour day).
I bought the paint.
They used tiny little rollers and said their manager did not like them to use brushes or full nine inch rollers.
I don't think the paint coverage was that good.
When I stopped in from work to see how they were doing around 2 pm, they had not yet painted the chimney, so I heightened their sense of urgency a little bit.
Then, when I started studying the parts they had "already painted" I saw some missed spots.
by this time, it was getting to the end of the 8 hours.
I'm still not sure how good the paint coverage is up on the chimney, since some of the lower, "accessible" spots weren't that great.

Lesson learned, I should have stuck around all day to ride herd a little more - but so should the business owner...

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

The two most common reasons wallpaper does not stick are a lack of preparation and improper adhesive. Be sure to use the wallpaper paste designed for the type of paper you choose. Before beginning your project, make sure the walls are clean and free of dust, grease, and oils.

Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.

To pair a unique sense of style with white walls, keep them well-decorated. Hang vibrant art or bold furniture to add color to the room. Add some texture and greenery to the space with plants. Choose accent pieces such as throw pillows or light fixtures with patterns. Having a white wall can be a plus as it allows homeowners to easily decorate their homes as they desire without worrying about clashing with the paint color.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space.
