Helping Hand is precisely that. We are a brotherhood that is here to help our community first. If it is a leaky faucet or a broken stair rail, with our large staff we can fix it sooner and cheaper than anyone else. But it does not end there, our skilled staff can fix your dryer, remodel your kitchen, shingle your roof, or paint your front door. It is about your needs being met by responsible, kind professionals. In short, we value our neighbor over profits every time.

"He won't do something that he can't do. Did everything fine and his personality is not proudful, very nice, did a very good job. Timely, always there, and trustworthy."

What sets me apart from other general contractors is my passion for providing a great experience, in addition to a quality product. Buying a home is one of the largest, most rewarding endeavors we take, so when the time comes to remodel, I believe it is imperative to do so with advanced dust management techniques. I have acquired sufficient equipment to filter the air in the construction area every ten minutes. This not only provides a safe working conditions for my crew, but more importantly, prevents unwanted dust from falling in and around your home. Our use of dust curtains and negative air pressure ensure that you are not living with a dusty, unhealthy mess during the remodeling process. In addition to remodeling, we also offer new construction, as well as custom outbuilding, deck construction, and more!

I started my business for people that were tired of poor quality, poor ethics, and limited options. I enjoy talking with my clients to find out exactly what they want. And design and engineer the pieces to match their vision. I don't mind odd at all! I prefer to make all the components (all moldings, base, casings, trim) of a project in house out of actual hardwood (Janka 1000+) or higher, so I can ensure that every part of my designs, meet my standard of quality. I don't use MDF or particle board in any of my designs. You can get that elsewhere. My desire is to make your idea an heirloom piece. Something your grand children can use and reminisce about. If you have a item that falls into the following categories and want it well made, feel free to contact me about it. Cabinets, solid wood furniture, doors, arbors, decks, and fences, stained glass, light metal work.....

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Finishing an unfinished basement adds the most value, with an average return of 70% or $22,400. A bathroom addition in the basement will provide an ROI of 75%, but the higher cost will leave you with a lower actual return of $9,000, on average. Finishing a basement and adding a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom to rent the space will leave you with the highest possible ROI, as you could see well over 100% if you rent the space out long-term.

Yes, you can add a door to your basement—it might even be required, depending on building codes in your area and whether or not you’re using the basement as a bedroom. A basement contractor can give you some advice on installation and help you add a door to your basement.

It may not come as a surprise that the kitchen is the most expensive room in the house to renovate. This is due to the expensive appliances like the range, hood, and fridge, but also because the bones of the room—like electrical and plumbing—are expensive to move or replace. While there are ways to renovate a kitchen on a budget, it will always carry a hefty price tag, even if you cut some corners.

Egress windows or doors are required in finished basements to meet safety and building codes. If your basement is unfinished and used as a storage space, egress windows are not required, but anything considered a habitable space must have an additional point of egress in addition to the stairs.

Save money on your basement finishing project by making cost-effective decisions such as minimizing structural changes and avoiding costly construction revisions. DIY simpler tasks such as painting or basic cleanup to reduce labor costs. You can also opt for energy-efficient fixtures and materials that may qualify for rebates or tax incentives.
