"Paul responded quickly and even came that day to repair our couch. He was professional and polite and did a great job. One thing of note, be prepared to pay with cash or check as he doesnâ t take credit cards. I recommend him"

Hi this Anthony the owner of CREX Construction! I started this company with a vision to deliver projects to our clients in a new, modern way. We offer design, construction & consulting services. We focus on YOU, your needs, your dreams and deliver the design & construction in the most transparent way possible. Our budgets are clear and itemized. You will always know what you are paying for. \n\nI began my career at a young age working for a family construction business on Long Island, NY, and more during my young adult years for personal and professional projects. I have 2 degrees in architecture, and worked at numerous architectural firms for 10 years. After too many hours at the drawing desk, I realized I wanted to be in the field more and engage with clients from the building side. Although I still design projects! I have seen the frustrations that clients have with builders and designers in this industry. That is what motivated me to start CREX Construction.

"Just bought a house that is about 5 years old. The carpets never looked like they where cleaned, had mild spot's/stains in it. I called Rob on Monday and he quoted me the price of the special that was running through the coupon that came in the mail. He was able to come out the next day, was on-time and actually called and showed up early! Big plus for me! Quality work was done in a timely fashion. Did not try to sell me anything I didn't want, just came in and did what was asked. Also the carpet came out real nice! Was able to remove 99% of everything! I will defiantly use there services again!"

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

You should consider the time needed to clean and prepare your bedroom set for transit. A few days before moving, vacuum, dust, and clean your furniture with a mild cleaning solution. Depending on the movers and the services you pick, you might need to pre-pack the mattress and box spring in boxes designed for beds and disassemble some furniture by removing doors and hardware. Finally, don’t forget to take plenty of pictures documenting the pre-move condition in case you need to file a claim.

The average cost to reupholster a piece of furniture is around $720, with most projects falling in the $380 to $1,150 range. The final price can vary significantly based on several factors. These include the size and complexity of the furniture, the cost of the new fabric (which typically ranges from $50 to $70 per yard), and hourly labor rates (often $40 to $100 per hour). Additional factors that influence the price are the piece's current condition, its age, whether it needs other repairs, the number of pieces being reupholstered, and your geographic location.

Regular vacuuming, spot cleaning, and protecting surfaces from sun exposure prevents wear and fading, preserving longevity.

Part of the beauty of academia decor is that most textures and materials will feel right at home, provided they’re dark. Some common textures include natural wood, dark metals like iron, velvet, and leather. Incorporating these into your dark academia decor will make them look right at home. Glass is another option in some cases, so fill in gaps in your decor with small glass jars, or really lean on the gothic roots of dark academia with stained glass.

Ongoing maintenance of your leather furniture is the only way to prevent it from peeling and cracking. Real leather will peel and crack as it dries out. Leather conditioners are a great way to protect your leather furniture from drying out, and you’ll need to apply it about twice each year. It’s also a good idea to keep abrasive materials away from your leather to prevent cracking and peeling, including belt buckles, shoes, and multi-surface cleaners, especially those that contain alcohol.
