"INDEC was great to work with and they did a really nice job. They were prompt, and respectful of our property. The wallpaper installation looks flawless. The pattern lines up perfectly and the edges and intricate parts around moulding, etc, look great. I could never do it on my own like that! Definitely a 5 star review and we would use them again and will recommend them to friends."

"Everything about the experience was professional and pleasant. The salesperson came to my home twice...the second time with a representative of the paint company to make absolutely sure of the type of stain they should use on my custom home. The crew who gently pressure washed my house showed up on time, worked quickly but thoroughly, and were very patient with my curious little dog. Likewise, the painters showed up when they said they would (if you've had any work done recently, you know this isn't always the case) did an excellent job prepping, caulking, and painting, then cleaned up completely before they left. This company was recommended to me by a friend who was very satisfied with their work, and who had other friends who have used them. I was extremely satisfied and would use them again."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Having dated, peeling, or otherwise damaged wallpaper can decrease the value of your property, so removing that before listing your house is nearly always a good idea; however, since wallpaper tends to be a personal style choice, potential buyers may or may not love your aesthetic as much as you do.

Love the look of wallpaper but want to consider property value as well? Stick with something that is easy to change. If you are thinking of selling soon, make sure your wallpaper hanging is on-point and looks professional with no crooked seams, evenly matched patterns, and minimal bubbling or other imperfections.

In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.

While some people are confident in their ability to replace concrete by drilling out the broken pieces and replacing them with bagged concrete, it’s possible to run into snags that make hiring a professional worth it. Trying to level concrete slabs can require special equipment, which can be pricey to rent and tough to operate. It's also crucial to contact your town's municipal office to ensure you are allowed to take on the project without a permit.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.
