Vinegar can keep some animals at bay, like deer, rabbits, foxes, and raccoons. Keep in mind that your household pets, like cats and dogs, also don’t like the smell of vinegar. You can soak rags in white vinegar and put them up around your garden beds to keep the pesky critters from eating your plants.
While not common, bird’s nests can cause problems to your property in some cases.

Pantry bugs are rarely able to get into sealed packages, but they may try. If you find pests on or around a sealed food item, check inside to make sure the food is still clean. Not sure whether a package is contaminated? Spread the contents onto a cookie sheet and use a flashlight to look for pests.
Carpenter ants can go away on their own if their food source is eliminated, but this could take weeks or months. If you have an infestation on your hands, carpenter ants need to be treated by pesticides from a licensed professional in order to go away as soon as possible.
