"Very friendly and showed up on time. Did a wonderful job of keeping the mess well contained and cleaned up very well after the job was done. They didn't mind if we came in as they were working to see how things were being done. Explained all the project from start to finish. I would recommend this company to anyone wishing to go from a bathtub with shower to just a wonderful walk in shower."

"Matt, owner of this company, is a wealth of knowledge about my Watts Water Softener system. He walked me through reprogramming of the system menus a couple times and fixed the problems I was having. He is so good at what he does! Jason, who usually answers the office phone, is also very customer service oriented, and he connected me with Matt to fix my water softener problems. Great team to work with!"

"Because the new bathtub was custom made from specific measures to best fit it in the needed space, this was nearly 6 weeks to complete the tub shower replacement. And it did cost more than I had hoped it would, but the finish project came out good, and the actual remove and replace work only took about 6 hours. Overall a good job done."

Small jobs welcome

"Mike did a great job replacing my kitchen and bathroom floors. He also installed a new vanity and toilet. He came up with some great ideas that made my bathroom project look even nicer, he came in early and stayed late and his workmanship was excellent. Highly recommended."

"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."

"We had our entire bathroom remodeled to meet state regulations, and we couldn’t be happier with the work. The contractor did an excellent job from start to finish and made sure everything was completed properly and up to the required standards. They were professional, reliable, and paid close attention to detail. The quality of the workmanship really shows, and the finished bathroom turned out great. We truly appreciate the time and effort they put into making sure everything was done correctly. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor who takes pride in their work and does things the right way. Thank you for helping us turn our bathroom into a beautiful, functional space that meets all of the state requirements!"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Whether converting a tub to a shower is worth it depends on your personal circumstances and priorities. For many, a shower is a safer option that reduces the risk of slip-and-fall accidents, making it a valuable upgrade. It can also be a worthwhile conversion if a shower is more practical for your lifestyle and you rarely use the tub. However, there are potential downsides to consider. The cost, which can range from $1,200 to $8,000, can be a deterrent. Additionally, if you have young children, a bathtub is often easier for bathing them. Finally, removing the only bathtub in a home can potentially lower its resale value in the eyes of some buyers.

An alcove tub is designed to fit into a three-walled enclosure in a bathroom. A drop-in tub, on the other hand, is placed into a custom-built frame or enclosure. This frame can be fitted to an alcove, making a drop-in tub a viable alternative if you want a more custom or spa-like look. Because the frame is custom, drop-in tubs offer more design flexibility and a wider range of materials, such as cultured marble or tile, compared to the simpler acrylic or fiberglass of a typical alcove tub. The frame for a drop-in tub can also be placed anywhere in the bathroom it fits, not just in an alcove.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

The cost to install a shower or a tub is roughly the same. Shower installation costs range from $2,400 to $8,800 and vary depending on the type and size, materials used, and the complexity of the features. For similar reasons, the average bathtub cost can range from $2,000 to $9,400.

Resurfacing a bathtub is less expensive than replacing one. Resurfacing a tub costs about $330 to $630, depending on the material, while replacing a tub costs an average of $4,150. But remember that resurfacing is a temporary solution for a worn-out tub, and you may need to refinish a tub every few years to keep it looking new.
