"I needed a garden path from my house to my art studio, and I wanted it to match the concrete path already going from my house to the garage. Not a big job, but American Concrete Construction was willing to take it on. Their main guy, Sinisia Moli, came right out one day to evaluate the job, then returned the next day to survey, dig out the path, frame it, and put in rebar. Cement was poured the following day. And now I have my garden path. Which, incidentally, matches the other, much older path perfectly. ... Sinisia Moli of American Concrete Construction is a man of experience, good aesthetics, and common sense. He is also friendly, upbeat, and generally a pleasure to have around. Best of all, unlike so many of his colleagues who work in various construction trades, Moli talks to women. He doesn’t insist on talking to your husband. ... I am definitely keeping American Concrete Construction in mind for future projects."

"Exceptional Custom Concrete Work! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of working with Bavaro Custom Concrete, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, their team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a true commitment to delivering top-notch custom concrete solutions. I initially contacted them with a rather unique project idea, and they were not only receptive but also enthusiastic about bringing my vision to life. The entire process was a breeze, thanks to their excellent communication and project management skills. The craftsmanship displayed in the final product was truly impressive. The precision and attention to detail that went into every aspect of the concrete work were evident. My custom concrete feature turned out even better than I had imagined, and it's now the focal point of my home."

"When they recieved the product (it took 3 weeks, but the weather in Conn. delayed shippment) they called and installed the cover the next. day. The 2 people they sent first described what the work would involve, did the work and then had me approve the work. All went fine."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Concrete leveling can last anywhere from five to 10 years or more, and in some cases, it can be a permanent solution. The longevity depends on the method used and whether the underlying cause of the sinking is addressed. For example, mudjacking typically lasts five to 10 years, while polyjacking can last for 20 years or more. It's best to consult a professional for an accurate timeline based on your specific situation and any factors that could cause the issue to recur.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.
