"2 workers, pleasant manor, very professional, pride in performing a very perfectly leveled entrance. Concrete came up 2 inches on South side, and 2 inches at wood steps. We have carpenters adding Trex and handrails and excited to repaint the trim on the house."

Customers say: True professional

"Mike was great and seemed very knowledgeable. My house and property was significantly damaged by flooding and it is a big job. I didn't get a bid for the full scope of work from Mike and ultimately decided on a contractor that gave me a bid for everything and knew personally. I looked at pictures of Mike's cabinet work and was impressed. It was a tough decision and work has not yet begun because I'm waiting on insurance. Mike was very kind which I appreciated during such a stressful time."

"I needed a garden path from my house to my art studio, and I wanted it to match the concrete path already going from my house to the garage. Not a big job, but American Concrete Construction was willing to take it on. Their main guy, Sinisia Moli, came right out one day to evaluate the job, then returned the next day to survey, dig out the path, frame it, and put in rebar. Cement was poured the following day. And now I have my garden path. Which, incidentally, matches the other, much older path perfectly. ... Sinisia Moli of American Concrete Construction is a man of experience, good aesthetics, and common sense. He is also friendly, upbeat, and generally a pleasure to have around. Best of all, unlike so many of his colleagues who work in various construction trades, Moli talks to women. He doesn’t insist on talking to your husband. ... I am definitely keeping American Concrete Construction in mind for future projects."

"Very nice to deal with, good communication. Concrete pour has some discoloration that cannot be fixed. The slurry from the pour was not directed properly - and wound up coating a garden area in the front of our house. No water could get to the plants, consequently, we had to dig out the concreted soil and take to the dump. Now have to add more top soil. The gravel which was removed from the newly concreted area was spread out over the existing gravel drive but was not leveled or made smooth. Now the driveway is bumpy and we may have to have heavy equipment smooth it out again."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

For homes in Bellingham, a seasonal inspection routine is key. In spring, check for new cracks from freeze-thaw cycles. In summer, clean gutters and ensure drainage systems are clear before fall rains. In autumn, take dated photos to document slab elevations as a baseline. A mid-winter check is important for monitoring settlement during peak soil saturation and watching for ice hazards on uneven surfaces. This log helps track changes over time.

Helpful?

Yes, concrete leveling in Bellingham can significantly boost your home’s resale appeal. Level surfaces enhance curb appeal and address major buyer concerns about foundation stability and drainage, which are critical in our wet climate. Proactively fixing uneven concrete demonstrates good maintenance and helps eliminate potential safety hazards. This can lead to a smoother home inspection process and a stronger position in a competitive market, potentially increasing your home's value.

Helpful?

In Bellingham, a small issue can worsen if you see water pooling for over 24 hours after rain or notice soil eroding from under the slab. Other warning signs include new or expanding stair-step cracks in the concrete, settlement that accelerates during the wet season, or any slab movement near your home's foundation wall. These symptoms often indicate underlying soil instability that requires immediate professional assessment to prevent more extensive damage.

Helpful?

When planning concrete leveling in WA, consider the region's soil composition, as the prevalent marine clay can require specialized techniques. The optimal project window is late spring through early fall to avoid heavy rains and ground saturation. Be aware that significant work affecting public drainage or property lines may require review. For guidance on best practices, consult resources from the American Concrete Institute or a qualified geotechnical engineer.

Helpful?

Before calling a pro in Bellingham, you can address minor issues by applying non-slip tape to uneven spots and filling hairline cracks under 1/8 inch with a flexible sealant. Ensure gutters and downspouts direct water away from slabs, a key step given our climate. Avoid DIY foam injection kits, as improper use can worsen the problem. A professional is needed if settlement exceeds one inch or cracks widen.
