After consulting with my wife to design the kitchen layout, Kline Construction's cabinet shop and in house painters (wood stain also) produced all of the cabinetry in the kitchen. Bird's eye maple was selected for the cabinet veneer. Paul Lacaille oversaw all of the carpentry and was the first person on the site and the last to leave. He had many great ideas (door to the patio), and his high standards insured that everything was done the way he did it or else... His thoroughness discovered water damage in one of the bedrooms from shoddy repair of the chimney flashing, which the previous owners occluded from us. He had the drywall completely removed to check for damage to the beams of the house and to mitigate any mold. Stuart Evans (roofing) spent almost a whole day to repair the flashing and damage just below. John Petrea (Natural Accents Flooring) and his crew did a wonderful job on the maple flooring. Troy Grady of GSS Construction cut 3 Granite slabs to produce the Blue Luis granite that became the large kitchen island, and countertops. The same granite was used in the downstairs powder room, the second floor bar area, and the cabinet top in the solarium, which also had all the floor tiles replaced to match the maple flooring. In summary, Kline Construction and their talented associates brought out the beauty of the property by taking into account what we wanted and gave us their sage advice on how to carry out the work practically. Most builders can knock out cookie cutter homes. It takes a master builder, however, such as Kline Construction to renovate a home, keeping the best of the old and transforming the home with the owner's vision in mind. To accomplish this work, talent and teamwork are needed, and Kline provides both. Since the initial renovation, we have used Kline construction for smaller jobs and advice, which Dennis and Andy Kline are always willing to provide. All Weather Roofing replaced our shake roof with 50 year composite roofing, which looks great. Rutherford Electric continues to do small and larger jobs for us. We are now planning additional home improvements and have chosen Kline and Associates to do them.

My husband called and talked to Jody Patterson, who made an appointment for later that day to come give us a free estimate of the repair work on our deteriorating chimney. Jody was working on another project in an area 90 miles away at that time, but said he would come by in the early afternoon to give us an estimate. The project he was on took longer than expected, and Jody called us twice to let us know that he was going to be delayed. We appreciated his keeping us in the loop as to when to expect him. He had another larger job coming right up, but since ours was small he was able to work us in by arriving at 7 AM the next day. He arrived promptly, with his brother Joel and a helper. They had the necessary equipment on a flat-bed trailer, including scaffolding (they were careful not to damage our metal roof). By appeance, they did a excellent job, and it didn't take them very long to complete it. When they were finished, they took broom and dustpan and cleaned up their mess. Way to go, guys!!! We had already received another estimate, and Jody Patterson's matched it, so we knew his price was reasonable. We would not hesitate to recommend him or hire him again for another project. Though he lives just south of Yakima, he does work all over Eastern Washington.
Evergreen has no reviews on Angie's List, but I'm familiar with their work because several years ago Dale Miller and his company replaced a sidewalk near my home. He did such a nice job that I wrote down his name and number off a sign he posted in the workplace as I knew we'd also be in the market for a new sidewalk in the future. Over the years, I'd observed other projects he's done in the area and it was always very well done. When the time came earlier this year, I called Dale and asked him to come over to give me a bid. He showed up as scheduled a couple days later. Dale said he was pretty much booked this spring, but that he'd be able to squeeze us in during the next month. As it turns out, he gave me the bid ($3500 + tax) on 1/18/13 and completed the job exactly a month later. The bid was right on the money. He also told me it would take a week from start to finish. It was actually six days. I cannot exaggerate what a fine job Dale and is crew did or how happy we are with the finished product.. They tore out and removed every speck of our old sidewalk. They replaced it with a compacted gravel base and set the bluestone in concrete. The individual stones were grouted in cement with a staggered joint pattern that must be seen to be appreciated. Dale even hauled in topsoil to fill in the excavated areas around the new walk and mixed in grass seed. Other than his sign in the front yard, you'd never even know they'd been there.
Dale is a true craftsman and a real gentleman to boot. He was great to do business with and a very nice guy. I'd recommend Evergreen Masonry without hesitation. The contractors were all nice and helpful and did all they could to make it right, so the finished product is good although not perfect. Was told when I signed the contract with Carla that the whole remodel would take 2-3 days. The first day the first contractor arrived he told me it would take a lot longer, at least 5 days, which wasn't a problem for me. The demo and installation of the shower and fixtures went just fine. I then watched him open the box for the glass shower doors and they were not the style I had ordered. Since that was the first mistake and I didn't want to wait for the correct doors to be ordered, I told him to go ahead and install the doors he had, which he did. He then started to paint the walls and called me in to look at the color because he thought it didn't match well next to the shower surround, which it didn't. The color was not the color I had picked out and was shown on a sample. It was not acceptable because it looked awful. I called Carla and told her the paint color looked nothing like the sample I was shown and she argued with me over the phone that it was the color I picked so if I wanted another color I would have to go buy it myself, which I did ($75). Next was the flooring install. The contractor rolled it out on my patio to do the cutting, measured it, and then re-measured the floor to ensure it had been measured correctly before the flooring was ordered, which it had not. Carla measured everything the day I signed the contract and she measured wrong. I called her and she did admit to that mistake and did order more flooring, which I had to wait for so Marv (contractor) stopped what he was doing, went to another job, and then came back a week or so later once the flooring came in. He installed the flooring. Originally I was going to paint my existing vanity and therefore only ordered the granite top and faucet for that vanity. When Marv went to place the granite countertop he discovered that the hole for the sink had been cut out in the wrong place, again because Carla measured incorrectly. Another call to Carla and then Carl resulted in an argument over the phone. I was told they were not going to order another countertop and the only thing they could do would be to order another sink that would not be an undermount, but would rather sit on top. They were both yelling at me over the phone about it wasn't her measuring mistake because of the style of my vanity, which Marv said was ridiculous because any contractor who would have measured would have actually opened the cupboard and drawer in the vanity to see exactly where the hole should be cut, which is not what Carla did when she measured. The conversations with the Bayses ended with me thinking they were going to order another granite countertop since that was what I demanded. I was given a timeline for the order to go through and after not hearing back for a longer period I called and was told they were waiting for the sink to come in. When Marv came back a few weeks later he told me they did not order a new countertop, but rather just an over mount sink. I looked at the sink, which I had not picked out, and it was hideous so I told him not to install it. I called Carla again and again she yelled at me that there was no way there were going to order new granite since it is so expensive and my only other choice is to order a new vanity that will fit the countertop. At that point I was ready to have the job stopped and find another contractor to finish, but Marv was great, did a good job when he could, and I really wanted him to finish the job because he was on my side the whole time as he was sharing stories with me about all the other problems that had occurred with other clients and that he was looking for another job because he felt Carla and Carl didn't care at all about doing good construction, they only cared about getting as many sales as possible and then doing the jobs as quickly as possible. I agreed to buy a new vanity and waited another month or so to get it installed. It was custom made and when it arrived it had not been made correctly so some adjustments had to be made. Marv had left the company by that time so I had another contractor who didn't know what to do so he called his supervisor who arrived and he figured out a way to fix it. They were both here for 6 hours instead of the one hour it should have taken. Then when he went to install the faucet, which was supposed to fit (of course), it did not fit. One of the guys went to Home Depot and exchanged the faucet for one that would fit, installed it, installed the mirror, and was very gracious about the whole mess. In addition, the toilet that was ordered was the wrong color as well and had to be changed by me, there was no transition piece between the flooring in the bathroom and the carpet right outside the bathroom, so I had to request that, and molding was only ordered for around the floor and not for the door frame, which is a usual thing to do, so I had to request that as well and paid for it myself and it wasn't painted. The first time I took a shower I noted that one of the doors did not shut all the way and I still have not remedied that. I would NEVER hire this Rebath franchise again and have passed the work around. When I went to buy the new paint and was explaining what happened to an employee there, she told me she had heard there were problems with these people. Only if I had known before signing the contract."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wa/kennewick/rebath-of-tricities-reviews-7689553.htm"},"position":10}]}

Run from Taylor and Son! Colton is dishonest doesn't have a clue what he's doing and if he has a helper with a first name starting with B is even worse. Very first thing our adjuster asked for a break down of the bid every line needed details. Colton somehow didn't understand this. I spent...

"The nicest and hardest working construction crew and company Iâ ve ever dealt with. Extremely excellent customer service. Employees showed up several minutes earlier than expected every morning. The large crew always work together along with the boss doing a lot of grunt work himself. They laughed and really seem to enjoy doing their job together as a team. We could not be happier with the driveway that we have waited for for 10 years."

Marble countertops are often considered better than limestone because of their superior durability and luxurious appearance. Marble is harder and less prone to scratching and denting, though it still requires maintenance and sealing to prevent stains and etching. Marble is typically more expensive, but its beautiful veining and range of colors offer a high-end look.
Onyx countertops are naturally porous, absorbing liquids and staining easily without proper care. Regular sealing every 6 to 12 months is essential to keep them looking their best. Daily maintenance includes wiping up spills immediately and avoiding harsh cleaners or acidic substances that can etch the surface.
Sintered stone and quartz are both low-maintenance materials resistant to water damage and scratching. However, quartz can be damaged by temperatures over 150°F, while sintered stone is heat-resistant up to 300°F. Both materials are comparable in cost, so ultimately, the decision will hinge on your preferences.
Countertop resurfacing for laminate countertops can last 5 to 10 years or more. The countertop's longevity depends on the quality of the resurfacing materials, the amount of wear and tear the countertops experience, and how well they are maintained. Avoiding heat damage, using cutting boards to prevent scratching, and cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner are ways to boost your countertop's lifespan.
Professionals remove scratches, stains, and etching, restoring the stone’s natural shine and extending its lifespan.
