"My furnance had been out for over 4 days and I had made repeated calls to local HVAC contractors for a service call with limited success. One company returned my call and told me they were 4 weeks out and gave me another business to contact. They did not return my calls either. I saw a Heritage truck in my neighborhood and decided to give them a call. They immediately answered my call in a responsive and professional manner. and after explaining my situation they booked a service call the next afternoon. The service technician, Rodney Simoneau was very professional, personable and informative. I felt comfortable having him in home. The business has a clearly defined approach to keeping the customer informed of the diagnostic process and subsequent repair and pricing for the failure mode. I was very pleased with the outcome and would be very happy to recommend them to anyone who requires HVAC work. I think the cost of the service was moderately high but considering the circumstance along with the responsiveness of the organization it was acceptable."

"After the thorough review described above, he and his colleague completed cleaning out all of the ducts with their special machinery.  This process took about 90-120 minutes and seemed to be very thorough.  Unfortunately the cost of the work was much higher than the $89 angle's list promotion.  I was expecting it to go up a bit since we have 3 return vents, but I didn't realize that we also had 3 main vents.  The service provider did show me the mold beginning to grow on either side of the filter compartment (ours had not been changed in over 18 months (should be changed every 6 months) and we had run the humidifier over the summer, these were contributing factors to the mess inside the system.  I appreciated how he took the time to explain how to keep it from happening in the future and why he suggested a few additions.  The recommended anti-fungal/anti-bacterial treatments seemed like a useful addition at this point even at $150.  He also very kindly wrote down all of the filter numbers for the humidifier, furnace, water filtration system etc. so I could order them online myself.  I would recommend this company to others - having dealt with many HVAC service people, this was the most up-front and honest experience that I have had.

"The primary problem I needed to have addressed was my laptop, which would only boot to a yellow blank screen and I was looking for a local service in Huntsville so I could drop it off if necessary.  Another major consideration was that North Alabama Technical Services was available on Sunday, which was when the service was needed.  Jim suggested some steps to clear the problem, and I was able to get the laptop to boot properly.  There were operating problems with both the laptop and my desktop computers and I was sent software to allow remote access.  Jim, at North Alabama Technical Services, was extremely professional and capable in correcting the problems remotely.  The scan of the desktop took almost 4 1/2 hours to complete, and identified some 77 infected files.  Before the scans were initiated, a number of programs were identified that had unknown sources, and were deleted.  When we began the process, I was on the phone to initiate the remote access and was impressed with the professionalism and competence as Jim talked me through the processes on both computers, and showed me what he was doing.  We disconnected during the long duration scan, but I was able to monitor the progress on my monitors and Jim called me back at the end of the scan to go over the wrap up processes.  He showed me that my 2 MB of RAM could be upgraded to 4MB and found the appropriate memory on Amazon for under $20, and loaded 3 recommended scanning programs on my computers with 30 day free trials and provided costs of the programs, if I were to purchase.
I will definitely use this service again, if required, and would recommend North Alabama Technical Services for anyone needing computer services.

"On a Saturday we noticed that some of the items in the freezer were not completely frozen.  We bought a refrigerator thermometer and found the neither the freezer or refrigerator sections were cold enough.

We called Monday morning and Gill was at our house that afternoon.  He gave us a two hour window, but he called 30 minutes in advance ( a little later than the two hour window) to let us know that he was on the way.   He diagnosed the problem immediately and spent an hour getting the unit working again.  He said he could be back as early as Wednesday to finish the job. 

After checking our schedules we called and set up an appointment for Friday.  Again, we had the same routine, we got a two hour window when we set up the appointment and a call 30 minutes before he arrived (again, a little later than the two hour window).  The repairs we done quickly and the unit is working great.

I don't know what appliance repairs usually run (fortunately) so it hurt to spend almost $300, but that was much better than buying a new refrigerator."
