"Better late than never leaving this review! We got in touch with Fireside Gas and Chimney last year to finally get a wood stove installed that we had been sitting on for a while due to not being able to find a service with time for us. Even late in the year, they were able to get us onto their schedule in a reasonable amount of time. We worked with James, who I cannot speak highly enough of. I undertook the building of the hearth for our stove myself, and James was more than helpful in answering questions I had about making sure the project was safely constructed and met dimensional codes. Even through some hiccups in scheduling, including bad weather, and cases of covid, they were able to keep the install moving swiftly, and made sure we got prioritized when things started to drag on longer than expected. The install was fast, professional, and looks great. Iâ m happy we had James doing this work for us. He sourced high quality materials, maintained great communication, brought a wealth of knowledge from his time in firefighting, and relived me of the anxiety of having to cut a hole in my own house. Our stove went in toward the end of January, and we canâ t imagine our home without it now. It has seriously cut into our heating bill! These are the guys you want for your stove install!"

He always showed up when he said he would (actually he was always early) got the work done quickly and efficiently and did great work. "I booked the team for a deep cleaning. The team was very nice on the phone and responsive. After booking, however, I received no confirmation emails or communication whatsoever. I called and emailed the day before and did not hear back. The day of the appointment I was called and told that the owner had been sick and that the tech scheduled was sick too. They did offer to come the following day which was nice but I had skipped work already to be there. Nice folks that lack professional execution. I can?t comment on how they clean. "

"I hired Shamrock Chimney to clean and inspect my chimney for the sale of my home 4 weeks in advance of the deadline. I let them know numerous times that I had a deadline to provide the report. They rescheduled 4 times, one of the times telling me they were on their way and then following up with a text saying they gave the appointment to another customer. I let them know I would pay an extra fee if it meant they could keep the appointment, noting that I was under contract to provide this report. I reminded them of this each time they called to cancel, and was laughed at once and told it was "not their problem that it was heating season." After the final cancelation, I let them know I would now miss my deadline for my house contract and they again said that was not their fault and that an appointment is not a guarantee - regardless of circumstance. I was in tears and as a business owner cannot fathom treating customers with such disregard and disrespect."
