"We hired Josh to cut down and remove two very large dying trees on our property. The trees were located very close to power line so we wanted to make sure we hired the right company to remove the trees safely. Josh was able to take down the trees safely and removed all of the debris. He showed up on time, as scheduled and worked tirelessly to finish the project on schedule. He left the property looking much better than we expected. We were so happy with the tree removal that we hired him to return to help us with our apple orchid. The apple orchid is an old orchard and has not been trimmed in probably 20 or more years. Josh was able to open up the trees. We’re we’re able to harvest apples for the first time since we owned the property. As an added bonus, we had a tree that we weren’t sure what it was. After Josh trimmed it, we got the first plums ever. I entered them in the local county fair and we got a blue ribbon! Aardvark is a small business, locally owned and operated servicing all of Nothern Vermont. We specialize in hazerdous tree removal, and commercial and residential excavation. We keep it small with only 2 full time empoloyees and 2 part time. We will occaisionally use subcontractors for heavy trucking and crane work. We are a LLC in the state of vermont and are currently in "good standing" with the state. Angie's list customers will recieve a 5% discount on all bids. We look foreward to hearing from you!

The fastest way to remove a tree stump is by burning it or grinding it. You can rent a stump grinder and do the job yourself or hire a local arborist or landscape specialist. Before burning a stump yourself, be sure to check local burn laws. Drill holes in the stump, fill them with vegetable oil, and wait 24 to 48 hours. Add charcoal bricks to the surface, then light the fire. Attend the fire at all times.

It will take you anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours per tree stump to grind and remove the stump from the ground. The larger the size, the longer it will take to remove the stump. Also, keep in mind that rocky soil may require local excavation services to loosen up large boulders before you can begin to remove the tree stump.

You may need permission to take a tree down. Check with your local ordinances about rules regarding tree removal and to gain any necessary permits. Check with your local ordinances or the fire department if you plan to burn the stump. Make sure you have all the steps in place before removing the tree, or contact a local tree removal service.

A standard tree removal doesn’t include stump grinding. If you want your contractor to remove your tree and grind the stump, you must pay an extra charge. That said, you’ll likely save on the cost of stand-alone service—especially if it’s a small tree and they can finish both jobs in a single trip.

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.
