"Searching the internet for local cleaners to complete a deep clean prior to the holiday was a stressful and tedious process. I found NuClean through Angi ,requested a quote and they responded promptly. After patiently answering all of my questions (I ask a lot of questions..) regarding their services, I booked a deep cleaning (3 bed/3 bath). Taria and Josh arrived to our home as scheduled and greeted us as if we were friends who hadn’t seen each other in awhile. We have two dogs, so I took Taria & Josh on a quick tour of the home with a game plan to transfer the dogs. Dear reader.. When I tell you that upon completion of the bottom floor, I requested them to come back, I AM NOT KIDDING. As we simultaneously worked on laundry and other things in the house, it felt like we assembled a team of friends to help us get the house ready for a party. We absolutely loved having them in our home and they did an amazing job. (Amazing doesn’t even really cut it.. if you are thinking about it, do it. Just do it) We are so thankful that NuClean was able to see us, provide the type of clean that immediately makes you feel like a weight has lifted off of you, and have the opportunity to work with them again. Some say, when you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.. We are here to say you don’t, HIRE NuClean NOW, but don’t’ book them out so far they cant’t come back to our house!!"

"Within an hour of entering my needs on HoneAdvisor, I had a follow-up call by Carpet World and a commitment to have someone at my house that day. Although it was late in the day, two very courteous workers came, expertly fixed the problem. Note before Caroet World, I’d tried for months to find someone to come and address my carpet issue. Carpet World was terrific."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Installing carpet over carpet may negatively impact the resale value of your home. While it offers a quick fix, potential buyers may view it as a temporary solution rather than a long-term investment in quality flooring. Properly installed and maintained flooring adds value to a home, so removing the existing carpet and installing new flooring may be a better option to attract prospective buyers and maximize resale value.

In most cases, laminate flooring is better for people with dust or other allergies as laminate is easier to clean. Carpet can trap pollen and other allergens, allowing them to be kicked up into the air again with foot traffic. Consult your flooring specialist about the best types of carpet or laminate flooring to use based on your household member’s needs.

Yes. When installed properly, the strong adhesive on carpet tiles keeps them in place while also allowing homeowners the flexibility to peel up an individual tile and replace it if they need to. It’s important to keep in mind that the adhesive on your carpet tiles may take some time to cure, so it’s best to leave them alone for a couple of days after you first install them.

The type of flooring you choose for your bedroom comes down to personal preference. Many people prefer carpet over hard-surface flooring types (such as hardwood, tile, or stone) in their bedrooms because it’s warmer and cozier. Carpeting also helps muffle sound, which may benefit those who have trouble sleeping.

On the other hand, some folks prefer the look of hardwood over carpet. People with allergies might also opt for non-carpeted flooring since carpet fibers can attract dust, dander, and other allergens.

In most cases, you do not need to put padding or underlayment under carpet tiles. Unlike traditional carpet, which requires a separate pad, carpet tiles are designed to be installed directly onto a firm subfloor like plywood, concrete, or tile. Many carpet tiles come with a built-in underlay and attach with peel-and-stick adhesive, double-sided carpet tape, or glue. For a more comfortable, cushioned feel, especially in residential settings, you can opt for padded carpet tiles that have a thicker underlay attached. While it's generally not recommended to install a separate pad, a compact underlayment might be used in some situations, though this typically requires professional installation. An acoustic underlay may also be considered in commercial spaces or multi-level homes where noise reduction is a priority.
